This book should be read by every follower of Christ. It motivates the reader toward significant change. I wish I had this guide much earlier in my Christian walk. I would not have wasted so many years seeking man's approval and praise. I am now focused on working for Christ's honor and glory.

The authors guide the reader through a personal soul-searching exercise that peels away all self-deception until the individual's true core is exposed. Then, they guide the reader to an uplifting knowledge of how to truly follow Christ. The book is filled with practical instruction on how to change.

I have already given away ten copies to friends. After reading it, several have said to me, "This is exactly what I have been looking for!"

The answer is probably not enough. I heard an interview with Jamie Lash on the radio and was intrigued. Actually, I felt a certain fear & trepidation about reading the book, because I knew it would require a complete change of perspective & immediate action. Many people get laxidasical with the fact we are saved by grace and our works don't get us into heaven! That is true, but do our works matter--Yes, indeed! This book will help get a Christian past having mere "fire insurance," bur realizing we need to serve Christ everyday and we WILL be judged for our works while in the body. This will be a judgment of rewards or lack of rewards, but an extremely important judgment nonetheless. If you're considering buying the book, please do so, because it contains important truths not found in many other Christian books!

The author had a vision of the Judgment Seat of Christ over 30 years ago and it shows! Not many have preached or written about this crucial-to-know topic from the Bible. Howard's thesis is that we're saved by grace, but judged by what we did with that grace here on earth. He backs up his views thoroughly from a plethora of scriptural references. No Christian can read this book and not be challenged to live a more responsible life for Christ. Every reader will want to evaluate their choices made here on earth in light of the account they will be required to give at the judgment seat.

This Was You Life! is a masterful work on a very important but often neglected subject, namely, The Judgment Seat of Christ and the impact this certain future event should have upon our daily lives. The authors impress on us the importance of living our Christian lives conscientiously by bringing the eternal perspective into our daily plans, decisions and activities.

This book is solidly biblical and soundly doctrinal. It is written in a practical manner designed to convict, challenge and cause the reader to change his lifestyle and bring each area into conformity to God's will and purpose. The readers will find the book very interesting with many personal references and relevant illustrations.

There is in the work a very clear statement of the Gospel throughout and especially in Appendix A. The study questions are a great aid in encouraging deeper thought and personal application.

I have read this book with great pleasure and profit and strongly commend it to each reader as one that should have high priority.

This is a wonderful book! It's an urgent warning and a compelling call to understand our accountability for our lives. It is thoroughly referenced, comprehensive, and slyly humorous. This slim volume powerfully guides the reader into searching personal reflections and into a deeper relationship with God. Rick Howard is Pastor of Peninsula Christian Center in Redwood City, California. The Judgment Seat of Christ is Rick's lifetime message which he has given in 80 countries around the world. Jamie Lash is Director of Student Development at a Christian university in Dallas, Texas. He leads seminars and writes on Christian growth. Jamie is perhaps best known in the Washington, D.C. area for his popular "Victory Seminar" program wihch was heard on WCTN radio. In 1987, Jamie saw Rick Howard's video on The Judgement Seat of Christ. He says it was the most powerful lesson he had ever heard. He contacted Rick to see if he had written a book on the topic. That conversation led to a collaboration of the two men. Heavenly rewards is a neglected subject and many believers know little of what the Bible teaches about it. But just imagine meeting the King of Kings and Lord of All with every thing you ever said, or did, or even thought, exposed in His glorious light! This Was Your Life explores what scripture tells us of the hereafter while guiding us to a more abundant life here and now. The 15 short chapters have titles such as "Encountering the Christ of Revelation," "Stay Out of His Chair," "Olympic Motivation," and "Seizing the Time." Each chapter is unique and nourishment for the spirit. The discussion questions included make this gem of a book an excellent choice for a family or study group to read together. If you long to hear Jesus say, :"Well done, good and faithful servant" -- this book is for you. If you plan to read only one spiritual book this year, This Was Your Life should be the one to read and reread.

I believe that after THE GOSPEL, This is THE most important truth that anyone can ever hear. In fact, I often describe it as "THE GOSPEL FOR CHRISTIANS." If believers really embrace this extremely motivation truth, their lives will never be the same again.

Since reading "This Was Your Life?" in 1999, there is not a day that I do not think about living for THAT DAY instead of just TODAY. I have now bought over 400 copies of the book and about 20 copies of the video series.

I have distibuted these copies resulting in overwhelmingly positive and grateful responses. Most people have had similar reactions to mine and have in turn ordered more books to give to the believers they knonw. There is just no way to measure the far-reaching impact this book will have on eternity.

I just completed this book which I did with my Bible study group as a group study. It is one of the best studies we have done. This is a great book for any Christian or really for anyone - the judgment seat is not a topic often covered in church. For individual or group study, it is definitely a must read.

All I can say is, "Wow!" I could not put this book down. The authors draw you in and keep you asking for more. I had never heard of the Judgement Seat of Christ until I had the honor of being a student under Jamie Lash at Dallas Baptist University. I always thought that judgement was for the unbelievers. But there is a judgement for Christians as well. We will be rewarded for the works we do here on Earth. Not only are we saved from eternal separation from God but we will also receive rewards! God is GREAT! But it is important to know that some will not receive a reward on that day. This book will motivate you to aim for the prize!!!!!

A pastor at a church we attend Sunday evenings read the first chapter of this book one night to the congregation. I sat in silence - riveted, terrified - as he read Howard's vision of the Judgment Seat of Christ. Later, I bought the book and read through it one weekend.

I appreciated how the authors organize and assemble the scriptures pertaining to eternal reward, loss, and crowns in such a way as to make them easier to understand and study. A long-time Christian, I received new insights into what the Bible says about laying up treasure in Heaven. I also shared segments of this book with my senior high Sunday School class, who had questions on the difference between lukewarm and passionate Christian living.

The appendix, which tells about General William Booth's vision is also highly worthwhile, and something I've read over and over, imagining how it will be to see the Master face to face.

Likewise, the study guide in the back is helpful in using this book in a Sunday School class, small group setting, or Bible study.

Overall, Howard and Lash use practical analogies and tangible examples to explain and make understandable the importance of investing in what can never be taken away or destroyed.
