5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing?
I think so. I heard about these people on myspace, and I only heard one song and I was hooked.
All their songs are uplifting, and very infectious. You can't stop listening to it.
No further explaination but perfect 10/10 on every song.

2.0 out of 5 stars Uninspired, but it will pass for soccer moms and their young kids.
First off, I have no problem with christian music. I am a huge fan of a lot of it. (Underoath, He is Legend, Showbread, As I Lay Dying) But this stuff is so incredibly uninspired, it's sad. They sound like a christian knock-off of Fall Out Boy. The first track sounded EXACTLY like FOB. Don't buy this unless you want a knock-off. Don't buy FOB's records, either. Cuz they...

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid album!!, May 29, 2006

What a wonderful recording! One of the best to be released so far this year. I can't get it out of my cd player! This is "feel good" music, but not in a cheesy way. Good, up-beat pop rock. It's a nice cross between Anberlin's vocals, and Relient K's hooks, and lyrics that have a great message. You'll want to be singing along! Definitely check this out!

What can I say? These guys just keep getting better and better. I wondered whether they would be able to top Side Walk Slam's "...And We Drive," but now that they've reinvented themselves as "Run Kid Run" they're pumping out the hooks like nobody's business. This album is a punk masterpiece through and through. There aren't just a few good tunes on here-- ALL of the songs are hit worthy. Not only that, but the lyrics are clever, authentic and meaningful (unlike many pop-punk acts out there). David (Josiah) is really reaching his vocal potential on here, the harmonies are great, and the production is disgustingly awesome.

If you like the genre, you can't go wrong with Run Kid Run. Even if you're not into punk, give it a shot-- because this is an example of the genre at its finest.

relient k and anberlin got together, had a baby, and named it run kid run. fantastic use of the stop and go guitars. the chords they use aren't the standard power chords and most points and that's refreshing. super catchy, you'll want to bounce around when listening to it.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very fun pop-punk cd!, August 5, 2006
This review is from: This Is Who We Are (Audio CD)
Run Kid Run are not the most original band out there. OKAY!

Good, now that we've taken care of the haters, lets show some love!!

I first heard Run Kid Run on purevolume, a site I don't frequent, but end up on every now and then looking for new bands. Their song "sing to me" just caught my ear and I couldn't get enough! I ran out and bought the CD, and I must say I'm very pleased.

There are only 10 songs here, but 9 of them are really good, so "This Is Who We Are" is listenable the entire way through. The only song I don't like is "I'll forever sing". It's pretty weak. Other than that, "This Is Who We Are" is great!

If you like good pop-punk or pop-rock, you'll like Run Kid Run!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great album!, June 29, 2006

I am a 35 year old mother of 2 and I love this album! My kids love it and I love "We've Only Just Begun" The video cracks me up, and I just love to listen to this album. Housekeeping and workouts go by fast with these tunes. Reminds me of the Outfield (a little) from the 80's. I hope these guys are totally famous someday soon. LOVE IT!

I really like the cd. I knew a few songs before I bought it and the others are catchy. "We've Only Just Begun" is amazing and the reason I purchased it in the first place.

4.0 out of 5 stars A Bit Uneven, but that changes with repeated listens, July 21, 2006
A Kid's Review
This review is from: This Is Who We Are (Audio CD)
At first listen, I wasn't at all impressed with Run Kid Run, or their debut "This Is Who We Are". The only song I liked was "sing to me". After a couple more listens, I started to change my views. I still don't think Kid is the most original in the pop-punk bunch (I'd take Cartel or Relient K over Kid anyday), but they are fun to listen to. I've never been a fan of James Paul Wisner, mainly because I don't like most of the bands' he produces, but I'll admit that he did do right by Kid. The production, from a sonic point of view, is flawless. As per custom with any Wisner release, be perpared to hear the best material early on, and the b-side material late in the game. God knows why every record he does slows down towards the end, but they do.

Overall, I do recommend "This Is Who We Are" to pop-punk fans looking for 10 more songs to dance them into summer. Try it, and you'll probably like it.
