This review is from: This date in Detroit Tigers history: A day by day listing of the events in the history of the Detroit Tigers baseball team (Paperback)
I purchased this book, reasonably beat up at a used book store. It has its uses. It goes through each date during the year and highlights a few things that people may find interesting or not. They are brief. For example, here's a post from May 29.
1975 - The Tigers give Fred Holdsworth a birthday surprise by trading him to the Orioles for pitcher Bob Reynolds.
This one was a trade. Another could be two sentences about a big game for the team and/or an individual.

After that section, you'll find a lot of the statistical data you'd expect to find in a media guide - the all-time roster, the team's record every season. It's stuff like that.

There's value to the book if you can get it for a reasonable price. I still pick it up occasionally and flip to a page to see what is on that page. It's also reasonably dated.

If you are a Tiger fan, you might find value. If not, I'd pass on it.
