Good first effort, maturity beyond her years...,

This review is from: This is my test (Kindle Edition)
I agree with the previous reviewer that Glenn shows a grasp of the English language akin to Fitzgerald, an author of equal precociousness. She combines the imagery of Steinbeck with the exacting knife of Hemingway to create a work of monumental importance. "This is my Test" speaks to us all. At my book club, each member found himself/herself associating with the main character. From her humble, confused beginnings, to her time in military intelligence (who knew Noriega was such a poet!), to her days mingling with the social aristocracy of New York, London, and Seoul, this book is as deep and delightful as the cover art. Like the sweater she wears, the story is a deep mysterious intertwining of fibers that tell a kaleidoscope story not to be forgotten. It challenges the reader to face their own preconceptions and leaves you at the end celebrating this joyous life.
"This is my Test" nay, Ms Glenn, this is your triumph! Encore!

My favorite part of this book is the great quotable quotations. "I'd walk
a mile for a Camel" "A little dab a do ya" "Yankee Doodle Dandy" original! superb!

Reading this book was a life changing event for me. This was the most mind opening work I have read since HST's "Curse of Lono". I am truly saddened that it is no longer available.

As I made my way through this book, I clung to each line. The "test" hearkened back to epic tales of Homer with breath of the modern surreal. It spoke to my soul with a familiar charm and the whisper of wisdom.
Will there be a sequel?

Near perfection from a wonderful young author,

"This is my Test" is a true coming of age tale of self discovery, personal loss, redemption and whimsy. First time author Robin Glenn strives for perfection in this semi-auto-biographical tale of a young boy, Malcolm, whose father, is a sweater salesmen in the garment district of Seattle. I won't give away too much because I don't want to spoil it for you, but I will just say that at the end, it turns out that Malcolm is actually a girl!
Robin Glenn is a story teller of the highest order. On par with any of Americas great current authors. "This is my Test" was an inspiring book and it would not be an exaggeration to say that it changed my life. If there are any complaints about this book it would be that the book is too short. I wound up reading it a second time immediately after I finished so I could get more of her wonderful story. Here's hoping for a sequel!

Can't get it out of my head,
This review is from: This is my test (Kindle Edition)
I was lucky enough to download and read this stroke of genius during the unfortunately small time it was available. I have to say, I can't get the story out of my head. I think of this charming and provocative tale during times of trial in my own life. To say this story is inspiring is an absolute understatement. Admittedly, this was a surprisingly stunning success and in my opinion should be on the shelves of bookstores, libraries and schools all across the world. I feel enlightened beyond my years having endured the multitude of emotions that come along with reading "This is my test", and if you can find it, I know you will too.

After reading the above two reviews about Robin and her work, I REALLY would like to read "This is my test" PLEASE make it available again! It doesn't seem fair that it's still listed but hasn't been available. This is a wonderful idea by Amazon Kindle and I would like to encourage it's continuation.
