I bought 10 of these about 3 years ago and installed them in our yard. I have not had any problems with them. I haven't even changed a lightbulb yet. Now I'm getting another 10 for my mother-in-law for her birthday. I've had the low-voltage lights before, but these are much more reliable and durable. Don't be intimidated by the 110V service. They are easy to install and very safe when used with the GFCI circuit.

This unit is constructed well. I bought it to replace a unit that was similar to it that the glass covering the bulb had broke. I was presently surprised at how heavy duty this unit is compared to the old one. I bought a "wire in" photo sensor and installed it through a hole in the tube that supports the light ... It worked like a dream and was a very clean installation.

$20 at home depot and not worth that,

I installed 5 of these i purchased from home depot, same package same item, for $20. After a year the set screw that holds the cover on gets rusted in place and can not be removed. Basically you cant change the bulb. It cost way more that the cost of the fixture to dig up and replace these pieces of junk......stay away!
