This review is from: Thomas at the Carnival 100 pc glow in the dark puzzle (Toy)
The puzzle was a gift for our grandson. He's four years old and had never worked on a puzzle larger than 25 or so pieces. At 100 pieces, he had a challenge - and he's also a Thomas the Train fan, so he was really thrilled to have the puzzle. The main goal of the gift was to provide a meaningful challenge for adult and child. This is not a simple puzzle where the adult can do it in 5 minutes while the child watches. At 100 pieces, there is just enough difficulty for the parents and child to spend a few happy hours putting it together. Then, to our grandson's delight, the finished picture glowed in the dark. We were impressed with the quality of the puzzle - clearly developed by people who understand children. Many benefits: quality time with parents, develop motor skills, and just plain fun. No electronics, no automation. We're definitely going to buy another one for him soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Puzzle, November 18, 2008

I bought this for my 4 year old, after realizing the 35 pc Thomas the Engine puzzle I bought him was too easy. You won't be disappointed by the quality of the puzzle, it is pretty sturdy compared to the cheaper puzzles out there. The picture is coordinated such that my son works on different parts and can later put the whole puzzle together by himself. In fact, the picture is so well put together, that he can put the puzzle together in less than 30 minutes. I am afraid he will outgrow this puzzle soon, however, I think I will have it framed and hang it on his bedroom wall so he can enjoy at bedtime. He loves the glow in the dark feature. Puzzles are a great head-fake, he's "playing" but learning great logic and analytical skills at the same time. I am overall satisfied with the product.

This puzzle was an absolute delight for the little seven year old tyke who put it together. Each piece was of interest whether flowers, faces, or trains. She was most excited to see it glow, and waited all day for night to come and for the puzzle to reveal itself in the dark. A truly fun experience in every way.

this is a fantastic puzzle that should win your kid over. my son is almost 3 and this seems to be challenging enough to occupy a sufficient amount of time. because of the busy nature of the completed puzzle, he was able to finish a section at a time to provide positive reinforcement to continue on. The glow-in-the-dark aspect was an added bonus...my son still gets giddy about seeing this in the dark!

A practically perfect puzzle for youngsters just beginning to assemble larger puzzles. The very definite areas of the puzzle make sharing easy, and the glow-in-the-dark puzzle is delightful when finished. The puzzle itself is sturdy and will withstand hours of play. My grandchildren, ages 3 and 5, and I had a delightful time playing with this puzzle!

My son is five, and he's got all the Thomas the Tank Engine gear. He cycled through the wooden trains and now he's an avid collector of the Take Along series. He has been delighted with the two Thomas puzzles I bought him -- Thomas at the Carnival and Thomas' Midnight Ride. He put this puzzle together pretty quickly from the outset -- it took about 10 minutes. But he enjoys breaking it down and putting it together time and again. He brought it for show and tell at his school, and it was a big hit with the other kids, too. We highly recommend this for other people.

My son really enjoys puzzles but was needing a challenge. Not only is this puzzle a picture of one of his favorite characters but it also provided just enough challenge. The pieces are a nice size as well as being very sturdy.

My 5-year-old son has loads of fun putting this puzzle together and then turning off the lights to see it glow. Puzzles are so good for eye-hand coordination as well as working on concentration.

My 4-year old son loves this puzzle. It's challenging for him, but not so challenging that he gets frustrated.
