The absolute best way to get started with Thomas,

These books, plus a Conductor's figure 8 set at around the age of two are the absolutely perfect way to introduce your child to Thomas.I recommend these books because they are the original stories with the original illustrations. The language is wonderful for reading aloud. And I agree with the other reviewer who commented on their manageable size and sturdy compositions.
