Top Quality Puzzle!,

This review is from: Thomas & Friends: Thomas Goes to the Fair - 60 Piece Puzzle (Toy)
My son is both a Thomas fanatic and a jigsaw puzzle fanatic, so this gift for his 4th birthday was a perfect choice! The puzzle itself is top quality: sturdy, durable, and lays flat unlike some cheaper puzzles that seem to curl up as they are put together. Highly recommended!!!!

My 3 yr and 2 mo daughter loves this puzzle and she can finish within 30 mins. The Thomas picture is very colorful.
However it does NOT "comes in a collectable tin on wheels" as in the description. It comes in a plain paper box. I also get 100 pc Thomas puzzle for her to try next.

The puzzle is for my four year old son. We started with 25 and 50 piece puzzles from Target. He liked them and did well with them. Target did not have many Thomas puzzles so we tried this brand. The puzzle is nice and colorful however there is one problem I was surprised to find from what seems to be a recognized brand in puzzles. I've never heard of the brand before this purchase but from the Amazon site I got that impression. The problem is that the less expensive Target puzzles fit together more snugly than this brand. I bought a couple of Thomas puzzles from this brand from Amazon and both have the same issue. When the puzzle is assembled there are slight gaps between the pieces that are not present in the Target puzzles. I don't know what brand Target uses but I assume it's not some renowned brand. So my son enjoyed the puzzle and the pieces are nice but the finished puzzle shows more gaps between the pieces than I had expected.

My son has been doing puzzles since he was about 2 so this was a great find. He also loves Thomas the Train and with glow in the dark pieces who could ask for more? He is a boy and hard on toys but these puzzles are sturdy and can take the punishment. He still uses it even now and he is 5. The glow in the dark feature is a big attraction for him even now.

My 3.5 year old daughter loves doing puzzles. She was doing 48 piece puzzles and I realized she is ready for a little bit more challenging ones. So, I found these 60 piece puzzles and got a couple of them for her. She loves them. I am happy to find many non-princess themed, still attractive-for-girls kind of puzzles from this company. I think I will buy some more pretty soon.

This was a gift for our 4 year old son. He loves working with this puzzle. We were so proud the first time he sat quietly and worked diligently to put it together. It took him longer than his usual lower-count puzzles, but it wasn't too difficult. The only negative is that it's missing a piece or 2 and it's brand new out of the box. That was disheartening.

Normally Ravensburger's puzzles are great in quality. We have a 35 piece Thomas one that's excellent. For some reason this 60 piece one wasn't as great. The pieces didn't stay together the way the 35 piece one did. The surface texture wasn't like the 35 piece one either, so maybe it was made in a different factory. The puzzle itself is of course great and the "Thomas" & ""theme are great, since my son loves both!

60-pieces puzzle for 2-and-half-year-old boy,

This review is from: Thomas & Friends: Thomas Goes to the Fair - 60 Piece Puzzle (Toy)
We bought this 60-piece puzzle for our son, who was 2 year 4 months old at that time. (His 35-piece airport puzzle was too easy for him.)
Our son really loved this 60-piece puzzle, and put together almost 10 times during his first day - You can see his excitement. He needed some help during first couple of times of play in the first day. Within 2 days, he was able put together this puzzle in 5-10 minutes by himself everytime. His doctor told us that my son's puzzle ability is much ahead of his age group. We are glad to make this choice that my son loves. In fact, we now have ordered a 100-piece Thomas train puzzle since he just turned 2-year-6-month old and this 60-piece puzzle seems too easy for him already. We believe that puzzles help to develop a child's mental ability substantially, especially in areas of object recognition, spatial positioning, divide-and-conquer subassembly, short-term memory, and to some extent, finger movement skills. |
