The stories featured on this dvd are not from season 10 like most people believe. They are just extra episodes all featuring Pack-members, both old and new. It is unclear if these episodes are in fact Thomas & Friends episodes. The narrator is Michael Brandon and the episodes are filmed using 35 mm film, not digital film. (So they will look like season 7, not seasons 8-9). Here are the story stops:

My son graduated from being obessed with Thomas to being obsessed with construction machines, and this DVD unites those two loves. It features Miss Jenny's pack: Byron the bulldozer, Max and Monty the dump trucks, Ned the steam shovel, Alfie and Oliver the excavators, Jack the front loader, and others. Well worth it.

Got the DVD with the Thomas and Friends Train for $9.99 which is a bargain when the Thomas and Friends Wooden Railway train is normally $10 to $14 by itself. All the DVDs that come with a toy train/vehicle included don't have a particular train/vehicle for that title, but they randomly include different characters for the same DVD title. So it always is better to buy one inside a store so you avoid duplicates like I do sometimes. If you don't care about duplicates buying the DVDS with a toy character included online is simpler. If your kid likes Bob the Builder than he/she will probably enjoy these episodes with Jack and the Pack. My son did!

this video came with Terrance, which makes me wonder if it is really old. i don't think they sell Terrance individually anymore. my 2 year old is perfectly happy with it, although it isn't the most visually appealing of the Thomas characters. the DVD is very short, but the stories seem just as good as all the other stories to a 2 year old (and unfortunately just as bad as all the other stories to a mother)

We have two little boys who both love Thomas and own most of the older dvds. Sadly, we have found many of the newer titles to be lacking in story quality. As they are no longer basing the stories on existing Thomas written stories, one begins to get the feeling that the point of these new dvds is to sell you on new toy designs.

This particular dvd seemed like it would appeal to our truck-loving toddler, but it just doesn't hold his interest. The engines are barely featured at all except to ferry the various trucks back and forth. The stories are not very interesting and there is nothing on this dvd that makes them want to watch it again and again. The voice acting is particularly bad on this one as well.

My advice? Rent this one if you're curious and save your money for the better entries in this series.

According to new information on Anchor Bay, it appears that this video will feature five stories from Season 10. Not only that, but they're bringing back 'The Pack' characters from the Season 6 stories, 'Jack Jumps In' and 'A Friend In Need'. The new stories on this video are:

As of yet, it is not exactly clear what the stories are about, but you can find out for yourself when the video is released in August!

Purchased this movie with bonus wooden engine with it for twin grandsons for Christmas. The engine goes with the big tabletop set they already have so it was greatly appreciated. They loved the movie, and enjoy all Thomas items.

This is one of the few Thomas the Tank Engine videos that focuses more on the non-rail vehicles than the trains. On Site With Thomas covers Season 6 and introduces a new set of characters called 'The Pack'. It features characters such as Kelly the Crane Truck, Byron the Bulldozer, Isabella the Vintage Lorry, Oliver and Alfie the Excavators, Ned the Steam Shovel, Patrick the Cement Mixer, Max and Monty the Dump Trucks, Jack the Front Loader , Buster the Steamroller, and Nelson the Tractor. If your kids love Bob the Builder or other construction characters, they will love this video.

On Site With Thomas only covers 6 of the 13 episodes of Season 6. The get the entire 13 episodes in the US, you have to buy two other videos, Thomas' Trusty Friends and Mud, Glorious Mud. Unfortunately, if you buy all three you will have many of the same episodes included on each video. It's the only way to get all 13 episodes. They released a UK DVD that has 11 of them all together, but I'm not sure if you can get that video in the US DVD format.

When I bought this DVD I had no idea how many times I would have to watch it with my brother (age 11). We watch it about five times a day and he loves to play with his engines and construction vehicles while the movie is on. The DVD is centered around only the construction vehicles and Thomas and Percy make small guest appearances in each story. My brother's favorite story stop is when Oliver (an excavator, not the engine) discovers a triceratops fossil in the dirt. I like the song in the middle of the movie; it is about how all the vehicles would prefer to work rather than play. It is very catchy.

I recommend it for all young Thomasites and also it is not terribly annoying to watch over and over (not like Steamies vs. Diesels anyway).
