Splish! Splash! Splosh! I'll soon need a wash!

That's the one line you will remember after watching this DVD! Thomas learns how to splash in mud puddles. (You're kids will know now as well. Mine did, and sploshed the wife, who was not too happy...)

This DVD is CGI, with live-action interludes. You will watch an episode, then cut back to Knapford Station with Mr Perkins, then head out on another journey.

Personally, I liked Mr Arkwright better than Perkins. Arkwright had more energy and emotion. Perkins, well, just seemed to be earning a check really.

Oh, and hope you like opera. I won't spoil it for you.

This is a good addition to your kids' Thomas library.

My sons and I love this DVD. First off it is full screen CGI Animation, which means it contains 3D computer graphics. This Thomas DVD is actually animated rather than its usual its usual live action and models show. Aidan really got a kick out of it because it was different than the other Thomas DVDs we have. Splish Splash Splosh also features a new host, Driver Perkins, who can only be seen on this DVD so it was nice to see a new train character. Throughout the DVD, there is lots of excitement, great morals, and wet fun! Overall, this DVD is definitely our new favorite Thomas adventure mostly because of the awesome animation. It is 46 minutes of Thomas fun and was just released earlier this month. Great DVD for new or old Thomas fans, but once you watch the animated Thomas DVDs, the old ones may seem a little boring.

My two year old son loves Thomas. We watch the episodes independently on PBS, but also stream them via Netflix and Amazon Instant. This collection includes:

Playtime- Although Thomas is supposed to deliver Alicia Botti to the concert hall, he is challenged by Charlie to race around the island and be a "fun" engine. He realizes he'll make Ms. Botti incredibly late and races to the concert hall only to discover Annie and Clarabel have come uncoupled and he doesn't know where to find Ms. Botti. Not a huge fan of this episode because Ms. Botti doesn't seem to be bothered that she's late to the concert or forgotten about. She actually praises him for giving her an exciting ride around the island. It doesn't seem like Thomas has to face any consequence for his "cheeky" behavior other than a light scolding by Sir Topham Hatt.

Splish, Splash, Splosh- Thomas and Rosie are having fun splashing each other in muddy rainwater, until Sir Topham Hatt asks Thomas to get clean, then retrieve and deliver Ms. Botti to her grand tea. Instead, Thomas splashes all the other engines he sees along the way, ruining flour, strawberries that were to be used to make cakes for the tea. He also splashes into a puddle so large, it floods his firebox AND drenches Sir Topham Hatt and Ms. Botti on a bridge. Rosie has to rescue him, then asks if he wants to splash some more but he declines.

Slippy Sodor- Thomas' cracked funnel sends him to the Steamworks for a replacement. None fit except for a "silly" red and yellow funnel that makes Thomas feel embarrassed. Although he's tasked with carefully delivering Mr. Bubbles' special bubble liquid to a party, he is too focused on the funnel and all the bubble liquid spills along the way, causing accidents for Sir Topham Hatt, who is following along behind.

My 2yo loves Thomas and friends but this is one of the most annoying videos we have. The stories all involve Thomas getting in trouble intead of being helpful or friendly and the new train Charlie is so annoying I stopped letting my son watch this one. He much prefers the older style stories and loves "The great discovery" movie.

Thats the catch phrase for the title and my 2yo loves running around the house saying it! I have watched bits and pieces of it and it seems well made with good CG and catchy story lines. Seems like a winner for a young child or any crazy Thoams the tank fan!

The movie is great. I bought it because it's my daughters favorite. I was disappointed that the DVD case was broken upon arrival, but the DVD works so I guess it's ok. That's why I gave it 3 stars. It would have gotten 5 had it been shipped properly.
