2.0 out of 5 stars Charlie is annoying
My 2yo loves Thomas and friends but this is one of the most annoying videos we have. The stories all involve Thomas getting in trouble intead of being helpful or friendly and the new train Charlie is so annoying I stopped letting my son watch this one. He much prefers the older style stories and loves "The great discovery" movie.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Animated Thomas fun!, January 15, 2010
This review is from: Thomas & Friends: Splish, Splash, Splosh! (DVD)
My sons and I love this DVD. First off it is full screen CGI Animation, which means it contains 3D computer graphics. This Thomas DVD is actually animated rather than its usual its usual live action and models show. Aidan really got a kick out of it because it was different than the other Thomas DVDs we have. Splish Splash Splosh also features a new host, Driver Perkins, who can only be seen on this DVD so it was nice to see a new train character. Throughout the DVD, there is lots of excitement, great morals, and wet fun! Overall, this DVD is definitely our new favorite Thomas adventure mostly because of the awesome animation. It is 46 minutes of Thomas fun and was just released earlier this month. Great DVD for new or old Thomas fans, but once you watch the animated Thomas DVDs, the old ones may seem a little boring.

4.0 out of 5 stars I'll soon need a wash!, April 25, 2010

Splish! Splash! Splosh! I'll soon need a wash!

That's the one line you will remember after watching this DVD! Thomas learns how to splash in mud puddles. (You're kids will know now as well. Mine did, and sploshed the wife, who was not too happy...)

This DVD is CGI, with live-action interludes. You will watch an episode, then cut back to Knapford Station with Mr Perkins, then head out on another journey.

Personally, I liked Mr Arkwright better than Perkins. Arkwright had more energy and emotion. Perkins, well, just seemed to be earning a check really.

Oh, and hope you like opera. I won't spoil it for you.

This is a good addition to your kids' Thomas library.

Thats the catch phrase for the title and my 2yo loves running around the house saying it! I have watched bits and pieces of it and it seems well made with good CG and catchy story lines. Seems like a winner for a young child or any crazy Thoams the tank fan!

My boys are 2 and 4 years old. They love to watch Thomas and they end up watching the movie about 3 times in a row before they go off to play with other things. If you let it go to the end it will replay on it's own.

We just bought this DVD for our 2 years old son, when he saw the DVD box he was so excited and started to kiss the Thomas picture because he's so interesting in trains. Once we played the DVD we got that British man saying stuff and working in a bakery!! How can that be interesting for a 2 years old child!! Our son just turned back to play with his toys and ignored the movie even when Thomas showed up again, just to inform you so no one say he's too young and that's the reason, when we play Lightning McQueen for him he never do any other activities except watching the TV.

My grandson loves all the Thomas series, and throwing in some water action makes this one one of his favorites. He'll watch Thomas longer than any other series we've tried. When I need a break and his energy seems endless, putting a Thomas dvd on let's me sit down and rest without him running somewhere else. I've seen nothing objectionable on any Thomas dvd, the best video series for holding a toddler's attention I've seen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Thomas CGI movie that won't disappoint, February 9, 2010

My son Loves Thomas, especailly the CGI ones (he calls these the "New Thomas"). This movie introduces Charlie, the engine that just wants to have fun and no matter what and it gets Thomas into trouble. Also Rosie is in one episode. If you have a Thomas fan this movie will be a great addition to your collection. I can't wait to get the new Thomas coming out on March 2, Amazon is currently preselling them for around $15.
