I haven't purchased this item yet but I though people would like to know the actual dimensions of this item, it is 48"x32". It took a little work to get this info. so I thought I'd share. I don't have the actual Thomas table, mine is actually a bit nicer but I'm happy to find out this playboard will fit. :} Hope this info. is helpful to someone!

The Thomas playboard is perfect for my boys. It livens up playtime with all the colors and is just the perfect size to build a track.

I bought this playboard thinking that it would fit the Melissa & Doug table that we currently have. Unfortunately, it does not. The playboard is actually just a little bit too big for the table, so it doesn't fit properly. But the playboard is very sturdy and durable. I got it on sale, so I'm thinking that my husband might have to do some work on it so we can fit it.

it keeps my children entertain for hours the only problem is the packaging because didn't have padding just wrapped in cardboard box and shipped through ups i imagine it was handled not so carefully had some damage kept product. i have purchased trains for them and sets ( watertower, etc.) very spacious and allows child's imagination wonder for hours. very sturdy table also my 2yo boy will even sit on top of it. the table is very sturdy not flimbsy at all. and everything is very easy to put together i didn't on my own didn't need husband's help. i have had it over 6 months and still going strong. it's boy tough.

train board is nice and sturdy. I love the 2 sided feature. It's not totally educational moving the trains around the track, but I give it some spacial dynamics credit. I do like that you can have a country or city background. With the city side you can use any kind of vehicle, not just the train. We're going to build our own table to save costs, so I like that they just sold the board. Overall: completely excited.

If your child likes trains, spend the money and get the authectic Thomas stuff. It is good quality and a lot of fun.
