At first my son was disappointed by this set because the jet engine only has a light, no sound. He quickly got over this when he realized just how fast this Thomas goes. It races past all the other motorized engines and that makes it fun.

My son absolutely loves this Thomas! There are three pieces to this set, Thomas (with a very surprised face), a middle piece, and the last is the jet engine which lights up when the engine moves. This toy goes with the Tomy sets, so you can buy the blue plastic tracks and other engines that also fit the tracks (from Toys R Us, Walmart or from the internet). The package also included a DVD with the Thomas & The Jet Engine story. I found that this engine actually goes faster than his other Thomas trains, so it is a lot of fun.

This was a great find for my son for christmas! He wanted this for 2 years, and I could not find it anywhere. Works great, came very quickly.
