I love cream soda, and Thomas Kemper is one of the best.

It's not too sweet, it has a little tartness to it, and the vanilla flavoring is just right! To me, these are the 3 most important attributes of a cream soda.

And like one of the other posters said, this has cane sugar (sucrose) in it instead of high fructose corn syrup. (HFCS has a bum rap, it's not that bad, it actually has 1 kcal less per gram than sucrose. The corn industry should name it something like frutose to make it sound more natural, but that's neither here or there.)

Did you know that cream soda was so named because people used to put vanilla ice cream on a cup of soda?

I actually like adding milk to cream soda for a different taste, but only full milk. 2% or 1% doesn't have enough fat in it to make it creamy. Mm..... cream soda..........

thomas kemper makes some pretty good vanilla cream soda, their orange cream soda isn't bad either and for the price, it's not bad. although you can find this in many stores that sell food, but if you can't find anywhere else then this isn't bad price for some good vanilla cream. oh i should mention that this soda is made with pure cane sugar no other sweeteners like corn syrup in it, like most drinks. so that good to know.

P.S. It tastes richer if chilled first before serving.

I don't know what's happened with these guys lately. Given--the product is superb (so is their root beer), but just a couple of months ago I could get a 6 pack for $5. Now they've switched to 4-packs, and THEY cost $5.99 at the discount stores!!! What is going on???? Personally, I'm cutting back and drinking more Hanson's root beer (tastes almost as good, $4 a six pack for root beer in a can). Take that, price gougers!
