Out of all the soundtracks that I've heard, it is one for the kids. With songs like Shining Time, The Locomotion & the thomas song, "He's A Really Useful Engine". It also includes music from the original thomas seriers by Jnr Campbell & Mike O'Donnell, aswell as the movie music. I hope if you do buy the Soundtrack that you or your kids enjoy as much as mine.

My son and I saw the movie four times with a friend and friend's mother. They are 3 and 3 1/2. The repetition was good, and they were as excited the first time as the last.

The music was a reminder of the story, and yes, "Locomotion" played over the closing credits, so the boys, who sat until the lights came up in the theater, knew that as well. Try to remember who the target audience is - not adults, but small children captivated by both Sodor, Shining Time, and all points in between. Depending on his mood, my son becomes Mr. Conductor, or Junior Mr. Conductor when he hears this music!

My children go to bed every night and wake up every morning to the music of Thomas and the Magic Railroad, they love the music and we too.

I was so impressed with the movie and it's soundtrack. The movie was beautifully written and directed. The mix of real life and make believe is perfectly matched. The kids enjoy the characters and especially Thomas.

I am much older than the normal Thomas the Tank Engine audience (over 18) but when the movie came out i went to see it on the big screen along with a 50 year old and enjoyed it as much as the little kids.
I remember watching Thomas every time it was on when i was little and still watch the movie sometimes.
The only reason i didnt give it 5 stars was becuase i thought that although the mouths dont move in the series I thought they should have in the movie. Otherwise it was great.

This soundtrack originated as a way to keep our two boys from screaming. Not only did they love the cd, but we got into it. The film will put you to sleep if you are old enough to read, but the soundtrack is fantastic!

My son is a big fan of Thomas (to say the least!) and he kept asking for this album. When he heard the cd, it did not dissapoint. He listens to this cd everyday and can even name the scene that the songs belong to. The cd came quicker than I expected in the mail which was an even greater surprise!

Both my four year old son and I love this CD! He of course, likes that it has all the same songs as the movie (which is really cute), and I think that it is refreshing to listen to as well.

This cd was new and still shrink wrapped as promised. Hard to find even when it was still being made now it is not even made.

Did you read that closely? I said for k-i-d-s to treasure. The movie and soundtrack are obviously geared toward the little ones. Mine for instance, ages 3 and 1, love them both, to no end. As an adult, I like the soundtrack primarily because it makes me think of my kids and how happy and loving they are. I'm truly blessed to have to have them and feel fortunate that we create wonderful new memories everyday.
