5.0 out of 5 stars A rare find, but worth every penny., October 14, 2003

This review is from: Thomas Moore's Irish Melodies (Audio CD)
Music is performed in its original settings. Beautiful choral work; four singers, two of each gender. Lacks the histrionical egotism found in so many Irish ballad recordings. Very much worth it. Only one drawback: Timothy Roberts and co. are all of them British, so Irish purists may want to either steer away or swallow some pride. This is hands down the best Moore collection I've ever heard. In desperate need of a reissue.
