This new biography reveals the hidden spiritual life of St. Thomas More, laying bare the motivations that led him to become a paragon of lay holiness and a model of courage, integrity, and fortitude for all ages. Using More's writings as a window into his interior life, author Gerard Wegemer explains why this renowned lawyer and statesman sacrificed everything that the world holds dear for the sake of his conscience. First Things magazine calls this book an admirable and stylistically winsome profile in courage. ONE OF HISTORY'S M0ST ADMIRED FIGURES, Thomas More stands as a model of courage, integrity, fortitude, and other virtues. 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent review of the life of this lovable saint, February 27, 2001

This review is from: Thomas More: A Portrait in Courage (Hardcover)
Excellent review of the life of More from the points of view of his virtues, esp. courage. I love the chapter describing how he educated his children, how he cared his family, and at the same time how he managed to write books and be excellent profesional. The original fragments of his letters were well balanced in the text.
