I purchased this CD for my 2 1/2 yr old who is obsessed w/ Thomas. This CD is now his new obsession. His joy is just about absolute while it plays. He now requires it play while he goes to bed at night. (Make sure you have a repeat button on your CD player, you'll need it!) We have the Thomas Sing Along video, so my son knew most of the songs already, which helped him identify it with Thomas. I don't know how many times I am prepared to listen to this, I find the children's voices sometimes annoying, but I will live with it for the total glee my son finds while listening.

My 4-year-old son got both the Thomas CDs for his birthday and we've now listened to them for 3 months non-stop. I'm picky about music - if it isn't well done, I don't like it. The Thomas songs are REALLY well done. The music and lyrics are both sophisticated enough for adults to hear repeatedly, and fun enough for kids to not get tired of. Even my 2-year-old now knows all the songs! Sure, after 3 months I'm ready to listen to something else, but I'd be tired of Beethoven by this time too.

My husband and I are the parents of a 19 month old Thomas the Tank Engine fan. I bought this CD for him, not knowing how he'll react to it. He was familiar with some of the tunes "Thomas' Theme", "Thomas' Anthem", "Toby", "Harold the Helicopter", "Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining", "Gone Fishin'" and "Let's Have A Race") because he has some of the Thomas DVDs. He dances to the music, and when we're in the car it really calms him down if he's cranky. He also at times listens to it when we put him down for the night. It is a nice cheerful album sung by children, and that seems to appeal to him most. If your son is a Thomas fan, I would recommend this album. You'll be glad you spent your money on this album. It's definitely worth every penny!
