I purchased this CD for my 2 1/2 yr old who is obsessed w/ Thomas. This CD is now his new obsession. His joy is just about absolute while it plays. He now requires it play while he goes to bed at night. (Make sure you have a repeat button on your CD player, you'll need it!) We have the Thomas Sing Along video, so my son knew most of the songs already, which helped him identify it with Thomas. I don't know how many times I am prepared to listen to this, I find the children's voices sometimes annoying, but I will live with it for the total glee my son finds while listening.

My 4-year-old son got both the Thomas CDs for his birthday and we've now listened to them for 3 months non-stop. I'm picky about music - if it isn't well done, I don't like it. The Thomas songs are REALLY well done. The music and lyrics are both sophisticated enough for adults to hear repeatedly, and fun enough for kids to not get tired of. Even my 2-year-old now knows all the songs! Sure, after 3 months I'm ready to listen to something else, but I'd be tired of Beethoven by this time too.

My husband and I are the parents of a 19 month old Thomas the Tank Engine fan. I bought this CD for him, not knowing how he'll react to it. He was familiar with some of the tunes "Thomas' Theme", "Thomas' Anthem", "Toby", "Harold the Helicopter", "Every Cloud Has A Silver Lining", "Gone Fishin'" and "Let's Have A Race") because he has some of the Thomas DVDs. He dances to the music, and when we're in the car it really calms him down if he's cranky. He also at times listens to it when we put him down for the night. It is a nice cheerful album sung by children, and that seems to appeal to him most. If your son is a Thomas fan, I would recommend this album. You'll be glad you spent your money on this album. It's definitely worth every penny!

I bought this cd to dance to with my 3 daughters who are huge Thomas fans. We ended up putting it in the car and listen to it on almost every outing. I wish it had the "Rockin and Rollin" song from the new Toby's Trackside Tunes video, but otherwise the song selection is enjoyable. We love Thomas!

My three year old and I LOVE this CD. He alternates between asking for this and his Wiggles CD. The songs are upbeat without being overstimulating.

My 3 yo son ADORES this CD. He requests it ALL the time, and has memorized most of the words to all the songs. It is good because it teaches him little lessons along the way without being too pushy or preachy. It is a great alternative for parents who don't want to go the Barney or the action figure route. I highly recommend it-although the parent might get sick of it from listening to it too often.

This is a great CD for the car. My 3yr old son LOVES this CD and has to hear it every time we are in the car. Very catchy tunes with British humor. Your Thomas fan will just adore this CD!!!

While the songs are all about the Thomas characters, the music is absolutely delightful. It exposes children to many different types of music --- swing, etc., and doesn't talk down to the children.

My 2 1/2 year old often asks questions about the songs . . .like "what does 'rules and regulations' mean?" which gives me an opportunity to expand his vocabulary and his understanding of the world.

But most importantly, the songs are just a lot of fun!

Agreed....this is a great CD for the car. My kids love it. And Thomas stretches a child's vocabulary! The voices on this CD are very soothing. Gotta love the British words too! I'm not sure who in the family loves Thomas the most.

This c.d. was perfect for my son who loves all things Thomas. He listens to it while playing with his Thomas trains and sings along since the songs are the same ones on the Thomas the tank engine videos. He knows most of them by heart! He is delighted to have it play!
