The toy stopped working the second time my son went to use it. I had put new brand name batteries in the train. When I took the train to see what had happened I turned it over and noticed that battery acid was coming out of the battery compartment. Thank goodness none had gotten on his skin and that I had noticed it. Completely unsafe. It could have caused skin burns or what if he had ingested the acid! My next task is to figure out how to report this so that kids remain safe.

ENTIRELY UNSAFE!, September 7, 2010

One of the grandparents got this toy for my son's third birthday. We were able to put it together and play at the party, but the bubbles leaked into the battery compartment (leaked resistant, ha). I thought the batteries had just died, so I opened it up to changed the batteries and a mixture of bubbles, battery acid, and rust (in just a few hours!) oozed out. Needless to say, it no longer works after only one use. My son keeps asking if he can play with the bubble blower, but even if it did work, this thing is too unsafe to have around little ones - or anyone for that matter. I don't know how many injuries will have to be reported before this toy is recalled, but don't let your kid be one of them!

Cute...But bad design, August 5, 2010

Bought this for the little boy I nanny. He LOVED it, except when it stopped working! The battery compartment needs to be kept loose in order to blow the bubbles, by leaving it loose, bubble solution leaks into the battery compartment and makes the whole thing stop! It then takes FOREVER to clean out the solution and let dry. Needs a design update. Plus where you pour the solution is in a stupid place.
