When I was little, my parents got me all Thomas videos. But for some reason, I didn't have this one in my collection. In fact, I didn't even know about it until a couple of years ago and for a long time a was searching around trying to find this one but found out it was no longer availible. I was then able to find this one used over the internet. It sucks how they don't sell this one anymore because it one of Thomas' finest adventures!. Okay, so lets check out the stories:

Tenders & Turntables A:
Ever since Thomas went away to run his branch line, the big engines have had to shunt their own coaches and they do not like this at all. First, because of his big tender, Gordon has to pull a train backwards because of the strong wind. Then James spins around like a top on a turntable and everyone laughes. All in all, the engines are fed up with Sir Topham Hatt's railway and they decide to go on strike.

Trouble In the Shed(Part 2 to Tenders & Turntables) B:
The big engines are refusing to come out of the shed so Sir Topham Hatt gets a new tank engine, Percy, and brings back Thomas to help Percy and Edward pull trains while Gordon, James, and Henry stay in the shed.

Percy Runs Away(Part 3 to Tenders & Turntables) B:
Sir Topham Hatt finally lets the big engines out of the shed and lets Thomas, Edward, and Percy play on the branch line. But when Percy doesn't listen to Edward, Gordon nearly crashes in to him and Percy runs away.

Thomas Comes to Breakfast A+:
Find out why Thomas shows up at the stationmaster's house for breakfast uninvited.

Henry's Special Coal A:
Henry hasn't felt this good in his life, thanks to some special coal.

The Flying Kipper A:
Since the special coal has made Henry feel much better, Sir Topham Hatt has Henry pull a very special train called The Flying Kipper. But there is trouble because of the icy rails and Henry has a nasty accident and is sent to the works. But Sir Topham Hatt promises him that when he gets back, he will no longer need special coal.

Toby The Tram Engine A:
Meet Toby, the tram engine. One day, Sir Topham Hatt comes to visit Toby at his railway. Toby takes his grandchildren for rides in his coach Henrietta. But Toby is losing his work and one day, his branchline is shut down for good and there is no more use for Toby, but not for long.

On the bright side though, you can find all these stories on other Thomas videos or you can do what I did and by this one used like I did.

In TENDERS & TURNTABLES the big engines go on strike because they say tender engines don't shunt. In TROUBLE IN THE SHED Sir Topham Hatt sends for Percy to come and help out. In PERCY RUNS AWAY Percy waits by a signal box for the signal man to switch Percy back to the yards. But when he sees Gordon rushing towards him with the express he backs up and is stopped by a pile of dirt. In THOMAS COMES TO BREAKFAST Thomas thinks he run without his driver. But then he crashes into the stationmaster's house and Donald & Douglas the scottish twin engines have to rescue him. In HENRY'S SPECIAL COAL Henry is ill. But then he is cured by using special coal to make him run. In THE FLYING KIPPER Henry has a train of fish and crashes into another train to let him pass. In TOBY THE TRAM ENGINE the manager of the island announces that Toby's line will close

I love this one! I think Ringo Starr did very good. I love the episodes, I have rated them:

in TENDERS ANDTURNTABLES gordon cant ballance on a turntable and has to pull has train backwords and james gets stuck on the turn table and then henry gordon and james go on strike. in TROUBLE IN THE SHED henry gordon and james are on strike so sir toppam hat gets percy a saddle tank engine and the three gets shut up and thomas percy and edward run the main line. in PERCY RUNS AWAY henry gordon and james are still shut up but come out and percy is still here so percy accidently gets bumped by gordon and runs into a bank of earth. next in THOMAS COMES TO BREAKFAST thomas driver says he can go by himself thomas bostes to percy and toby aboutit and runs into the station masters house and donald and douglas rescue him. in HENRYS SPECIAL COAL henry complains about going to slow untill he gets more (and new)coal. in THE FLYING KIPPER henry pulls a long train called the flying kipper and crashes into a long freight train and realises he dosent need new coal. and last in TOBY THE TRAM ENGINE we introduce a tram named toby whos line will close and sir toppam hat will try and buy him by...

When they took this, Thomas Breaks The Rules, and Better Late Than Never off the market, they took the best tapes away. Story stops are Tenders And Turntables, Trouble In The Shed, Percy Runs Away, Thomas Comes To Breakfast, Henry's Special Coal, The Flying Kipper, and Toby The Tram Engine.

The video was delivered quickly and was in great condition. My son loves it.

Video was exactly as described, shipping was quick and reasonable. My son loves the video, I can't believe there was one he didn't have! Excellant seller a definate A+ recommendation.

This was one of the greatest Thomas tapes ever.This,Thomas Breaks The Rules and Better Late Than Never were the best ones yet.It's a shame they took it off the market.Since they were releasing Seasons 2-4 on DVD,there's a chance that the 3 tapes I mentioned may get re-released,since James Learns A Lesson was re-released.You can get these classic episdoes,along with the Thomas Breaks The Rules and Better Late Than Never on other complimation tapes re-narrarated by George Carlin on Thomas Comes To Breakfast and A Big Day For Thomas.You can at least get a used copy here [...].

When i was little, my parents bought me James learns a lesson and i enjoyed it!!! Its sad, but true. This tape isn`t around anymore. So its up for grabs. And i dont have it. So im getting it and i`ll complete the Ringo Starr set. He`s the best Narrorator ever!!! Episodes are:

This is the rarest Thomas video ever! Others are Thomas Breaks the Rules and better late than never.

This tape is the greatest. Theres nothing bad at all about this tape. It also introduces Percy who is the best Thomas character ever. The tender engines go on strike and Percy comes to help Thomas and Edward out. Percy later on runs away and it stopped by a pile of dirt. In Thomas Comes to Breakfast Thomas thinks he can run without his driver but he ends up covered in egg. What confuses me is that Donald and Douglas help him but they don't come until later. Henry also gets special coal to help him run but it turns out it was only becasue his firebox was small. It's such a shame this tape is no longer avaiable.
