Thomas and Train Friends Carnival Cake Topper Set

Included in the package is: *1 Thomas toy, *a Percy ring and a James ring, *a carnival backing piece (plastic), *about half a dozen blue candles, and *confetti sprinkles. The tracks are not included (and honestly, can you imagine how hard it would be to cut a cake that had plastic tracks all over the top? The icing would come off when you pulled the tracks off.), but it only takes some basic cake decorating skills to pipe out some tracks. My 3-yr-old loved this for his Thomas the Train party, and we saved a ton of money by getting the topper and making the cake instead of getting a bakery cake.

The Thomas toy has rolling wheels, and comes with a clear plastic piece to keep the wheels from getting in the icing. My son has not put down the toy since blowing out the candles nearly a week ago. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who intends to make the cake for a Thomas party.

Thanks to my wifes cake decorating skills and this Thomas cake topper our cake looked great. Our child loved it. If you do not have some cake decorating skill you may not be able to replicate the look of the cake in the picture.

I was a bit confused when I received this. I thought the tracks seen in the picture were part of the decoration. Only the background, 1 train and 2 rings come in the package. The rest I had to create with decorative frosting.

I wanted to make my child a special cake for the big 2nd birthday. I thought this would be a fun endeavor to make a nice cake with the Thomas the Train cake topper. I ordered it a little later than I should have, but the topper arrived on time so I was saved by the mail! The product was cool--it even included a plastic tray so you can keep the train from getting icing on it (which I didn't use, but should have). My cake decorating skills probably could've used some help, but in the end, the cake looked good and it complimented our birthday celebration very well. I did wash the Thomas figurine and Percy & James rings in the dishwasher. I didn't notice beforehand that there were stickers on Thomas and they got a little roughed up, but no more so than my child playing with it does. The Thomas figurine is a great toy, too. It doesn't fit on the wooden or plastic tracks, but we don't have any take and play tracks so it might fit those (not that any of it stops my child from playing with it). In all, it's great as a cake topper and great as a toy. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a cute addition to your Thomas birthday celebration.

I am grateful this product was available, because (along w/ the included picture) I was able to take it to my baker, who produced a beautiful cake. I did think the cost of the set was a little high (plastic Thomas, 2 plastic rings, small carnival paper backdrop & pix). But I bought it & we had a delightful cake for my 4-yr-old grandson!

Just writing this because the decription is not helpful at all on what is included. There is a small toy thomas train two small percy and james figures(rings)and a card board carnival backround in this set. You can use the train after as a toy and the percy and james as rings or to put on a cupcake maybe.

We bought this for our son's 1st birthday and he loved it. He plays with the train cake topper every day, it really has wheels. Anyway we bought the kit and had someone more capable design the top, but it turned out great. Only thing is that it didn't come with a picture like it shows online how to arrange the pieces, it was just a bag with Thomas the two rings and the plastic background piece. But it lets you decide how to create the top.

It is a small set, but it's cute. You can look at the photo online and try to match your design with the tracks, etc. I am nowhere near a cake decorator, and had no trouble making this set cute.

This is the second time I have used this kit for a cake, and each time I have been very pleased with it. Its a kid who loves Thomas the Train's dream come true!

We decided to do a Thomas the Train theme for my son's 3rd birthday party. Our baker had plenty of other themes and toppers but not Thomas. I went with this one because it looked like a cake topper I'd expect from any other bakery. We brought in a color print out of the cake and our baker copied it onto the cake for an extra fee. The train is a plastic train with wheels that move. I might suggest to someone handy that they clean up a wooden train and just use plastic wrap to cover the bottom wheels in order to save money.

I was expecting more than the train, a plastic background scene and 2 rings though based on one of the earlier reviews. That person must've purchased from a different 3rd merchant or something. In the end, we were satisfied with the purchased but I wouldn't necessarily purchase it again if I had to do it over.
