This review is from: Thomism and Aristotelianism: A Study of the Commentary by Thomas Aquinas on the Nicomachean Ethics (Hardcover)
Thomism and Aristotelianism is an excellent dismantling of Thomas Aquinas' understanding of Aristotle, focusing mainly upon the Commentary on the Nicomachean Ethics. In the course of exposing how Aquinas misread Aristotle, Jaffa provides his own convincing interpretation of the Ethics, along with keys to the work's structure.
The only concern I had in ordering this book was its binding, as reprints can be on the mediocre side (my library's version of this book is little more than a microfilm copy printed on flimsy paper). Greenwood Press, however, has provided a book in clear type upon quality paper, with a strong binding. |
