There is much to love about the THONG SONG. The average mind would look only at the surface of the song, think it frivolous but catchy (you know..good beat, u can dance to it) and that's it. But it's more than that. Sisqo makes two very clear, very significant points with this song. First, sexy is cool - is a GOOD thing - is appreciated. (Makes me think of when Steve Harvey said, "A MAN DON'T LIKE NOTHIN' BETTER THAN TO SEE A WOMAN IN A THONG! WHOOOO! IT DON'T MATTER IF SHE 300 LBS! IT DON'T MATTER IF THAT THONG RIDES SO FAR UP HER BEHING YOU CAN'T EVEN SEE IT NO MORE! LONG AS HE KNOW IT'S UP IN THERE...WHOOOO!). The other point made with this record is that you can be a serious artist with a serious voice and NOT have to sing HEAVY songs all the time. I mean, Sisqo does heavy, and he does it WELL, on this solo release as well as on past Druhill projects. His performance of "Without you there's no me" is wrenching, and clearly shows his talent and the maturity of his voice/singing style....but, c'mon, let's be serious. Do you really wants heavy ALL THE TIME? Not many artists can pull this off - going from heavy to primitively fun. I mean, can you picture Luther (Vandross) following "Since I lost My Baby" with the THONG SONG? How about Brian McKnight? I'm thinking....no. Sisqo is a rare and unique talent, and the THONG SONG is just another example of it. (Don't front like you don't hear it in your head for two hours after you hear it played....I THINK I'LL SING IT AGAIN! )

To the rap lovers, this is the best cd ever. Sisqo does a presentation of a good rythim, great lyrics, and voice. The Thong Song, is the best "thong" in the rap market.

I think that sisco is one of the best new artists out righ now! As far as I'm concerned when Sisco was in Dru Hill he just had background singers. Don't get me wrong they had some great hits and they sounded good together, but all artists pick background singers that they sound good with! He's way to advanced to be with a group it was only time before he broke away and did his own thin he on his own level and it shows in his songs and his peformances. That what I like in an artist so Sisco grabe as many thongs as you can and run with them Because I love this song and your image.
