Bought both washer and dryer combo as well as ventless dryer in Feb of 2010 along with a 4 year extended warranty. In February of 2011 the washing machine threw a bearing and needed repair. We discovered that the warranty information had never been sent to us. It took me over three weeks to get someone from Thor to respond. The warranty info was forthcoming and it took over a week to find a company in our area that could service the machine. The repair person determined that we needed a new tub and 10 other parts to repair the machine. He checked on the parts and found that several were no longer available. To date and it is now June 20th, I have been without the use of my very expensive washing machine. All but one part has been received and when I last spoke with the warranty company they had no clue as to when it would be available and offered no alternative but to wait. Buy this machine at your own peril.

We had one of these combos with a four year warranty. It broke down twice within the first year, each time Thor sent a repair person after we made several calls and waited several weeks to get it fixed. It was determined that there was an imbalance in the machine that was causing it to wear out more frequently, but the company did not offer to replace the machine. The third time it broke down, we called again, several times, to get it replaced, only to be told the company had gone out of business? Definitely didn't get the four year warranty's worth. Save your money and go with a more reputable company that produces better quality products at a lower cost.

I ordered a Apex by Thor for my small apartment a couple of months ago. My contractor told me that I could not install a vent in the closet where I wanted to put the machine because the vent would be too long. I had to go with a ventless dryer. The Apex has worked great. In fact, it takes less time to dry than I expected. Since I only had a few choices when it came to ventless dryers, I was a little worried ordering the Thor machine....but it has turned out great.
