For those of you who don't really know about vitamins, Thorne Research is one of the best companies to purchase from. They are more expensive, but their products are pure and they use quality ingredients (including the construction of their delivery system capsule). It is a lot to explain, but this is a great vitamin. Worth every penny. (No, I do not work for Thorne).

I live in the great Northwest. My Vitamin D levels were pathetically low to which my Natural-path doctor prescribed Thorne D-5000 for me and my wife. Not only are our D numbers up...and as I work in the dark nights, my well-being is greatly improved.

The Canadian government recommends a large dose of Vit D to their citizens, this 5000 Units is ALMOST what the recommend.

Best vitamin D I have tried. It is dry Vitamin D and is the only Vitamin D that uses no preservatives in processing. Highly recommend.

I started using Thorne Products years ago through a naturopath. Now, I find them myself and like them. They're much better than your "average" supplement from other places. Definitely quality supplements.

The only Vitamin D I can take with NO side effects (jittery, headaches, palpitations). My Vit D level was 26. My doctor put me on a prescribed high dose (50,000 IU) once a week for three months. Level went up to 46 and I felt great (well being, mood improvement, join pains disappear). However, after I stopped taking the high dose, my doctor recommended 2,000 IU per day. I bought 4 different brands in health food store, best quality I could find/perceive, but started having jittery results, palpitations, etc. It turns out that after having been on high dose for three months, then my levels plummeted and started major symptoms (withdrawals?) with feelings of depression, bone pain, and, the worse symptom, unable to sleep due to major palpitations. After ER visits, cardiac monitors (all in a great effort to address the symptoms and not the root cause), a different doctor suggested Vit D 5000 IU by Thorne daily. After three days of taking them, I started to feel like I had not felt for years. No side effects, in fact, these pills provided a very calming effect vs the jittery effects from the other ones. Regarding cost: Thorne is priced similarly to health food store brands, and they work. Also, if you are a woman in the early 50s, and you are not feeling yourself, have your Vitamin D levels checked. If low, take these vs all the other major drugs some doctors are so quick to prescribe. You'll feel a million times better without taking drugs that eventually will provide other/new side effects. Great product, highly recommend it. Shipping was excellent. I got it next day.

Thorne's vitamins are excellent. I can trust that I am getting pure supplements and I do not think that they are much more expensive. Good value for the quality.

My vitamin D level was very low..I incorporated this into my daily intake and I just had a new lab test and my results were EXCELLENT! Thanks Thorne!

Took for ever and a year to get it but it's a good product. Not worth the wait though; better to buy elsewhere

Product is very pure and I can tell the difference in how I feel when taking it. Not so with other brands.
