Really keeps the liver in tip-top shape...,

This review is from: Thorne Research - T.A.P.S. (Turmeric/Artichoke/Picrorhiza/Silymarin) - 60's (Health and Beauty)
I went to a kinesiologist some years ago, and he recommended this product to use daily to help to keep my liver healthy while taking several supplements and medications that all have to be processed by the liver, causing stress and some stagnancy. I truly believe that this product, which contains milk thistle, which is well known for its liver detoxification benefits, along with turmeric, artichoke, and picrorhiza (the ingredient that the kinesiologist said was the most potent here) keeps things flowing liver-wise, and that it is of great benefit to people like myself living with a chronic condition that requires lifelong treatment. The one suggestion that I would make for someone with stress factors on their liver would be to start slowly at first, taking maybe one a day, then slowly increase the dose over a couple of weeks or so. I recommended this to a friend who had been through breast cancer treatment, and she said it made her rather gassy when she first started taking it, which probably makes sense when someone starts treating a toxic liver condition. Giving one's body time to adapt to the detoxification process should help...
BTW, you are very unlikely to find this in stores, and I think it's something of a well kept secret, usually requiring an alternative health care professional's recommendation to purchase. My doctor is always amazed that my liver enzymes are normal each time I get my numbers run, and I attribute it to T.A.P.S. I hope this helps others living with similar conditions.
