4.0 out of 5 stars 'Thorns on a Crown' blew me away..., April 26, 2010
By
This review is from: Thorns On A Crown (MP3 Download)
just purchased the album, after hearing about KD being the next biggest female solo artist. I was not disappointed with what I heard. The album begins with a catchy tune which will have you singing along by the end of the song, and pressing repeat immediately after it ends so that you can sing along with the whole song. Track 3 'The Night Shift" gives you this look inside the artists heart. Her voice is so strong and evident that it makes you listen to every word she says and feel all her love, struggles, and hurt. Her guitar work is very skillful, and rocks throughout the album. She also showcases some amazing harmonica skills- which can't be anything more reminiscent of Bob Dylan work. Kirsten Dehaan is definitely someone who is not going away without putting up a good fight... which is a GREAT thing... because she sounds amazing, and I can't wait to hear more from her
