Like Darkness, but more Rock than Shlock,

Not sure if this is a joke, but regardless, they're playing some damn good arena rock. I would've loved these guys back in the mullet-owning 80s - excellent riffing, catchy tunes, and approach that is somehow both classic rock and hair metal. They've got a heavy 70s Zep/Deep Purple influence in their rhythm and lyrics (Midas Touch, Stone Fox), and the vocals, guitars, and rockitude are reminiscent of early 80s Motley Crue, LA Guns, with maybe some late 70s Van Halen thrown in. Rather than be a cheeky Darkness-like project of irony, these guys sound and feel like the real deal. And since I like to rock out just like the next guy, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and assuming that they do, indeed, like to ROCK. I would totally be their groupie.

The love child of mc5 and Grand Funk Railroad,

This is the band that does the retro 70's cock-rock rebirth right. Forget Jet and all the wannabes, these guys don't just nail it, they take it back to the hotel-room and ravish it like a groupie.
Take mc5 and Grand Funk Railroad, Humble Pie and Foghat, you have an idea where these guys came from. But it ain't re-hash, it's real. They're not stealing riffs, they're just the modern extension of all that, what those bands would be playing if they started today. This is a must-have for lovers of classic seventies rock, but it's also a keeper for modern hard rock fans; retro without sounding dated or tongue-in-cheek. With a debut album this good, I want to hear what they do next.

Jonesin' for the classic 70's power trio rock sound ? Great riffs and guitar solos (that's right amazon friends...guitar solos) ? Then buy this cd. Great from start to finish. Sad they broke up...because their live show rocked....so pick up this cd. And, if you can, pay full price. These guys worked hard for the $$....throw them a bone....

I found this group on amazon while browsing through the rock section and let me tell you if you are a fan of 1970's-ish straight up rock and roll then you need to buy this now. Unfortunately they have broken up, so this is their only album which is a shame.

Buy this album. 11 straight-in-your face rock and roll tunes delivered with blistering sincerety and technical prowess. You've just stumbled onto the best backyard BBQ music since Pat Travers' Go For What You Know. Unbelievable.
