Fits as expected out of the box and not very much break in time for an all-leather boot.
All in all they seem to be the same great fitting, light weight, high shine boots that thorogood made 3+ years ago.
Excellent boot fits great and the toes & heels hold a awesome shine.

Wearing uniform boots for almost 20 years, I've tried more than a few. Uniform requirements don't require it, but the capped toe look is unofficially the standard; the comparable Rocky boots are good, but very heavy for foot patrol or static posts. Not a lot of other quality brand options. Tried these as they were much cheaper than those boots, and they are impressive. They are lighter, and polish up to near Clarino level - no need for leatherluster, etc. as the leather is very high quality. If you know how to prep boots properly you can make these nearly perfect. The accordion style padding at the top of the back is very comfortable, great design feature. Boot breaks in and flexes where it's supposed to, sole is high quality, size runs true (I went one half size up as some boots I need to, but these as well as Rocky seem to run true to size - these are good with thick socks for me) Overall very high quality boot.
Only issue I have with the boot is the side zip system. For one, I see no need for it - it's another failure point, and I'm tired of this being 'standard' - it drives up cost. I'm a 11.5 wide, and have no problem with removing boots without them. Particular to this boot, there isn't enough padding/shielding between the zipper and the interior of the boot - it rubs my ankle bone raw after about 4-5 hours in them. Thicker socks might help, as noted I went 1/2 size too large, but inspecting the inside there is only a thin piece of suede between the inner booty and the zipper. Again, the capped toe and all other aspects are great, if you wear thick socks these will be good.

I've worn this boot a couple of days now and here's what I think...It's a decent boot for the price. Not sure if I would buy it again though. To confirm earlier reviews, yes, it is made in China. The boot appears to be well made. It does arrive with a good shine on the toe and heel, but not glossy. The sole is thick, heavy duty, and hard rubber. The zipper is smooth. Here's what I don't like that much...The toe is big and round. It doesn't taper a little at the front like a lot of other utility boots. The hard sole doesn't make for quiet walking on metal stairs. The top of the boot where the zipper ends has been rubbing the inside of my leg (making it a little uncomfortable.) It's not like wearing a sneaker like some other brands in this category. I don't regret this purchase, but I probably will not buy another pair after these wear out.

Good shipping. Look just as sharp as they do in the picture and judging by how stiff they are, they should be really comfortable once they wear in.
All in all it appears to be a quality pair for a reasonable price...

BUT I chose those boots over a similar pair based on the reviews that said that they are made in the USA and my pair is clearly labeled as being made in China. That could mean one of two things, either two different products are being shipped or one of the reviews doesn't reflect the actual product being sold.

Using these for a 911 EMS system. 1 week so far and they are just as comfortable as my bates boots but these are way nicer to look at! Will be a bit of a nuisance keeping them clean and shiny however...

I love everything about this boot. I think I may get a second pair. I tend to find myself in them many days in a row. I work in EMS at a theme park, where my primary mode of transport is the boots on my feet. I walk various types of terrain: hills, asphalt, steel, woods, fiberglass, caves. I also work in all extremes of weather/climate conditions: from -20F to 140F, I never have had problems dealing with the heat or cold, waterproof. On a side note, these make my feet stink, pretty bad. The insole, tended to wear a little fast. I have only wore these with UnderArmor Trainer Socks, which I will say don't move around on my feet. I have never had a blister in those socks, so as well, I have never had a blister in these as well. A crucial element in my eyes since I could be in these bad boys for up to 20 hours straight on my feet work. I have worn these for a year and a half. Still plenty of tread remaining for another probably 2years.

withing 4 months these boots started to fall apart. the sole was the first to go, the rubber started to come apart and split in the the heal area then move forward. I then noticed the leather on the toe began to peel away which i thought was odd. I emailed the manufacturer and received nothing back. did not attempt the seller due to they are boots and im sure once i put them on my feet and they were none returnable but the manufacturer should have stood behind their product. Not impressed with this company at all. i have worn this style of boot from Rocky since 2000 and wish i would not have strayed. tossed this $100+ dollar learning lesson in the trash and ordered another pair or Rocky's.
on a positive note these boots were comfortable after the week ish long break in period until they started to fall apart.

I've tried different types of boots over the years and this WAS by far the most comfortable. They WERE light and comfortable from day 1. They HAD no side or heel padding on the inside, which MADE them more comfortable and longer lasting compared to boots that have padding. My last pair lasted approximately 3 1/2 years before the sole wore a hole through the bottom with 40 hours a week use.

UNFORTUNATELY the current version underwent a re-design. They added a bit of padding and put on a tougher sole. I had hoped they would be as comfortable, but after 4 months of trying desperately to break them in I am now giving up and will be purchasing a new pair of boots. I have been limping at work because they hurt my heels so much.

    Disappointing :\
