This is one of the finest Texas history books I've ever read and I was thrilled to see that it's still in print. The late Mr. Allen is an outstanding storyteller and historian. I recommend Buried Texans for anyone who already has a basic grasp of Texas history (can identify Stephen F. Austin, Sam Houston, William Travis, etc) and is looking to expand it.
