The book has 14 visitations of Mary. 13 of these are modern times 1830 to 1984. As such they are in a period of time we can identify with.Not 2000 years ago. Many of the people she appeared to are still alive. The well known Lourdes France and Fatima Portugal are there as well as lesser known ones such as Rwanda 1981-1989.Why does Mary come? To share her faith and hope with modern man.Her appearances at Medjugorje Bosnia and Rwanda Africa preceded civil wars of evil magnitude. Think she was trying to warn us? Buy as a reference to sit on the shelf as well as something to wonder about as well!

I spend a part of each summer working as a volunteer at the Shrine of Lourdes in France. This book not only covered Lourdes, but many other Marian apparitions as well. It's fascinating. Don't hesitate to purchase it!

As a devotee to the Blessed Virgin Mary, I want to learn everything I can about the Virgin Mother of God. She consistently points to her Son as the one to love and obey in all of her apparitions. Plain folks with extraordinary stories to tell kept me very interested. A great book.
