4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read textbook
I really like the way these authors introduce Teaching credential students to the "real" world of teaching. They definitely don't sugar coat things. It is an interesting read and there are tons of call out boxes with pertinent information. 3.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Time
I got this book because it was required for a class, and it was so useless. The information is so basic, and it's pretty boring. I didn't learn much out of it and I hardly ever used it. It all depends on your teacher I guess, but I found this book very basic and quite dull.

4.0 out of 5 stars Easy to read textbook, March 8, 2007

I really like the way these authors introduce Teaching credential students to the "real" world of teaching. They definitely don't sugar coat things. It is an interesting read and there are tons of call out boxes with pertinent information. For example, I am debating whether to teach at a private or public school when I finish with the credential program. In one chapter, there is a personal testimony of a woman who taught at public for numerous years and then switched to private. She explains the pros and cons of each situation. I found this information to be very helpful and pertinent to my future teaching career. As far as textbooks go, it is very well written and entertaining. This is probably a book I will hang onto at the end of the semester.

5.0 out of 5 stars Those who can, teach, February 6, 2009

I am enjoying this book. It is the textbook for a Introduction to Education class. I think it is easy to read and covers a lot of topics, from various philosophical perspectives. The author encourages the reader to reflect and form opinions.

Those Who Can, Teach is a great book for beginning educators and those who aspire to become so. Unlike many textbooks floating about in the world, this book expresses it's lessons in interesting aspects and with good humor. It is far from the dry reads many professors offer in the classroom. I would thoroughly recommend this book to any Education professor searching in need of a text, as I am currently a student who is required to read this book. This textbook will not only express what a future educator needs to know, but it is also a book that can hold the reader's attention.

This review is from: Those Who Can, Teach (Paperback)
I got the book exactly as described, just a little bit of highlight, and between the estimated time. Book looks as good as new, no missing pages or anything like that.
I am very satisfied with this seller and I recommend him.

1.0 out of 5 stars Poor delivery time, March 2, 2010

I purchased this book about a week before the college course I had signed up for started. It took 20 days and receive the book and by this time I was way behind in class and unprepared for quizzes and class discussions. This fact was reflected in my grade at the time. I would highly discourage other consumers from buying college texts from bookbyte as they are extremely slow in getting the item delivered!!

I still have NOT received this book, after ordering this book on Aug. 24. The money was withdrawn from my account by the place, but after trying to e-mail this person a few times, NO responses have been forthcoming.
