Worth the wait!,
By
This review is from: For Those Who Wait (Audio CD)
This has been one of the most anticipated albums for me for the year so far...great album..still like 'Unbreakable' better though...I couldn't give it a full 5 stars...here's why..
1.For those who wait (5/5).Great opener! Best song on the album...If you're a fan of symphonic rock you'd like this..definitely will be a single...'The pressure makes us stronger, the struggle makes us hunger, the hard lessons make the difference and the difference makes it worth it' Another one of those powerful msgs that the band usually gives.. 2.Desperate (4/5) When I first heard this as the band's first single I was like hmmmm...it's ok and was in doubt how the album was gonna turn out, but I think everyone can relate to the lyrics 3.Fire in my eyes (3.5/5). Pretty heavy song. Another ok song...it's growin' on me though.. 4.Core of my addiction (3/5)There's always 'filler' songs on most albums and I think this is the one for this album...It's alright but I think it's forgetable... 5.What I've Overcome (5/5) Love this one! Very catchy chorus...it sticks in your head. You just want to belt this one out.. 6.Name (5/5) The acoustic song in the album. Opens up with the piano then the strings come in... It brought me to tears and I can't remember when a song has actually done that...just a beautiful song lyrics and music wise... 7.New Perspective (3/5) The other filler...like core of my addiction it's not strong enough to stand out.. 8.You Give Me That Feeling (4/5)Another heavy one...U either headbang or at least nod your head to this one 9.All I Need to Be (5/5) The chorus is done differently each time...I swear. 1st time round...it's all acoustic and harmonizing...2nd time...the electric guitar comes in strong....3rd time...just Dawn then the others come in as back up....so cool! Love it! 10.Recovery Begins (4/5) The other 'acoustic' song. Abit ethereal..you wouldn't have guessed it's Fireflight...great way to end the album.

Not a bad song on the disc. They rock you hard with songs like "Desperate" and then surprise you with a beautiful ballad about God's love on "Name". They've never sounded better. The digital booklet is pretty cool too; all the liner notes from the CD. Buy This!

Never a dull moment. "For Those Who Wait" and "Core of my Addiction" are a two-speaker assault on ennui, while tracks like "Name" and "Recovery Begins" invite you to catch your breath before doing it all again. Pure fun. Repaid my investment several times over.

Got turned on to these guys (and girls) by the "For those who wait" single and was completely floored! Dawn's vocals seem to soar and the whole band sounds thick and tight. Excellent song writing and a very dimensional sound of a straight up kick ass hard rock band. They really deserve to gain world wide attention with this release. Production and mixing is great too. Positive message is kinda cool too. By far the strongest release in their catalog. Makes you laugh its so good! Kudos!

First, what I love about this music is that it is flat out good. A pleasure to the ears.
Secondly, though, is that it is obvious to me that Fireflight wears their hearts on their sleeves. There is a great passion to the playing and singing. Lyrically, they very clearly articulate what faith means to them. Songs like "What I've Overcome", "Desperate" and "For Those Who Wait" are some of the best non-worship songs, lyrically speaking, I've heard come out of the CCM industry in a while.

Fireflight has really done it this time! For people like me, who lose hope and fight the battle of depression, this CD tells us that there is still hope and that God won't give up on us. I love listening to it, as it encourages me and helps me to feel that I am not alone. The songs are also very catchy and extremely well written. I recommend this for anyone who who needs a pick-me-up, or who just enjoys a good, encouraging Christian rock CD!

Fireflight continues to impress with another solid effort. I love how their lyrics, though Christian based, are open enough to apply to multiple situations in life. Another plus is that no song sounds like any other on the album. Fireflight keeps it fresh an interesting throughout, inviting to keep listening then listen again.

I really love this CD because it expresses God's love and how we can endure even the hardest of trials with His grace. I love Firflight in general because of the hard rock style of music and the positive message it puts out there for young teens like me.

grand master piece,
This review is from: For Those Who Wait (Audio CD)
This album is a truly amazing feat. Christian music nowadays has become rather dull, and now in the dark hour of uninspired beats and coma inducing lyrics comes "For Those Who Wait". An album without a bad song that will in fact rearrange the fabric of space around you to make life better while listening, For those Who wait runs the gamut from Rocking ballads, to beautiful piano (Recovery, Name). With catchy well written tunes, and solid lyrics (written so as not to be a dull repetition of the same three lines never ending), and while some might find this a funny comment, they also know when to end their songs, no fourteen repeated chorus at the end to pad a track, they state their message and tie it off at just the right moment. Buy it NOW.

They say exactly what I would say. I can take Fireflight to the gym and pound out a great workout. It lightens my spirit, it gets me revved up, and most of all, it still praises GOD!!!
