4.0 out of 5 stars This is a great rock CD!, March 4, 2008
This review is from: Thou Shalt Not Fall (Audio CD)
I happen to of heard a song on the T.V. series Scrubs awhile back that I loved called Half.
much to my surpise I became an immediate fan of G Tom Mac, although this new album
"Thou shalt not fall" is a bit more rockin' than what I was introduced to by his song
on Scrubs. I still happen to love it! I 've been waking up to the song "You Are" these days
and have the entire album on my iPod shuffle.
This album as a whole is like a good movie that you walk out of feeling life, learning something new,
and above all not let down!
Buy it! you'll know what I mean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Review of G Tom Mac's "Thou Shalt Not Fall", August 3, 2008
By
This review is from: Thou Shalt Not Fall (Audio CD)
Looking for that tune that entranced you in front of the TV last night? How about the song that had you grooving in your movie seat over the weekend? You'll find these and more in G Tom Mac's latest full-length CD, "Thou Shalt Not Fall." Yes, Mr. Soundtrack himself returns with this artful and probing soundtrack for our times. To be sure, coinciding with the eagerly-anticipated DVD release of "Lost Boys: The Tribe," G Tom Mac (aka Gerard McMahon) delivers a fresh version of his evergreen "Cry Little Sister," along with a brilliant mash-up of the same. From there, Gerard chaperones us on an Oz-like soul-searching, down a road of melodic yellow bricks molded in styles encompassing hard-driving and rocking (Secrets of Oz, Under Your Skin, The Downside), moody and brooding (Gotta Get On With, You Are), grooving and hypnotic (Wish You Well, The Conversation, Box of Fantasy) and anthematic (All the Rage).

With unparalleled verbal wizardry, G gets "under your skin," warning those who believe they are "All the Rage" against losing themselves. "Who's that face in the distorted mirror? Got to be someone you'll never remember." G invokes the wisdom of Oz to remind us that the true escape from an egocentric twister is self-realization, "I've been running like a fool, Mr. Tin; I've been living like a scarecrow within." Only then can a "worn-out angel living on Devil's time" rediscover the child within...the truth, "...the song that never played, a lyric unafraid ..."). It's a timeless journey well worth taking! Special shout-outs to G's fellow wizard, Tony Silver, who handily assists in operating the levers, and to Mona Lisa Young for her powerful accompanying vocals in "The Downside."

5.0 out of 5 stars Love this CD!!!, March 4, 2008
This review is from: Thou Shalt Not Fall (Audio CD)
I'm for the most part a head banger, some thrown in hard hitting Hip hop\rappin' guy!
But I have to say the song from the Lost Boys "Cry little sister" breaks me down everytime.
Yes, sobbing if you will.
I recently saw a video of G Tom Mac doing the Live version of his song, I was curious as to what other
stuff he had going on. Well he had a lot going on!! an album called Thou Shalt not Fall, that for the most
part would not be the kind of music that would be what I blast. & not to say every song on this album
do I blast. But damn! for me to LOVE 5 out of 11 songs on any CD is unheard of in my world.
G Tom Mac is that GOOD! and who knows maybe I'll even love the whole album someday.
Yea! Thou Shalt Not Fall.. I wouldn't take the time to write about it if it wasn't worth it!

This song is almost the middle of the movie, while the boys are flying thru the sky, this song is playing. I love this song and almost forgot about it.
