I bought the STABILE-PRO to hold my iPad sitting right next to my PC monitor to use as a second monitor. I didn't receive operating instructions with the unit so I didn't realize that the tension of the arms were adjustable. When I placed my iPad in the arms, it toppled out. I thought the product wasn't very good for that reason.
Then THOUGHT OUT Company contacted me to see if I liked the product I purchased from them. I wrote them right back about the problem I had. She wrote back to say they were sorry and that I probably didn't receive the operational instructions with my product. So she immediately directed me to a PDF version of the operational manual. Once I read it and made the necessary adjustments, the unit worked exactly as I had hoped.
This is a great, solid stand that conveniently holds the iPad at an easy-to-read level. I am very impressed with the STABILE-PRO. I am likewise very impressed with the timely response and service I received from this company. It is refreshing to actually get great customer service when you need it. Thank you THOUGHT OUT Company for this wonderfully designed iPad stand and for caring about your customers.

This is the third iPad stand we have purchased from this company from their first version to this, the adjustable stand. These are the best stands you can buy. They are an excellent tool for utilizing the iPad in a desktop, next to the Mac application. Worth every penny. The adjustable version is perfect for odd positionings. This stand is a love hate product. Great rigidity to hold your $600.00 investment, but if you bought the swivel model, chances are the $.50 piece of plastic used to hold the $600.00 investment on will probable break with use. Mine arrived broken. Never made it thu the packing process apparently. I didn't return it so have no input about customer service since the fix required a simple bolt be used to hold the plastic to the frame, but this model wouldn't make it past Steve Jobs' desk. I use the stand without daring to swivel it for fear it will break. This is exactly the difference with a truly worldly product,like APPLE makes and the rest of the world who skimped-out somewhere along the design/manufacture process.

This item was exactly what I needed to keep my iPad 2 cradled safely off the desk, within reach, and still left room underneath for my external LaCie hard drive. The styling is great as it matches anything that is silver and its weight is perfect. It is well-made and solid. I would certainly recommend this item to anyone else out there looking for an adjustable iPad stand.

I was looking for a heavy, solid, stable platform to hold my iPad on my desk. Being wary of lightweight options, I was willing to spend a little more for something that seemed to fit that bill. This stand does the job. It is heavier than I expected and seems very well constructed. The design, of course, is quite simple. But, the main object is to have a stand that allows me to touch the screen to operated the device without it falling over. No problem here. The stand also has rubber feet that prevent slipping and protect my desk. The coated feet on the iPad rest keep the unit in place as well. Because this is simply a rest, you don't have to worry about taking off the cover - just flip it to the back. That said, only gravity holds the iPad in place and that could be a consideration depending on where you intend to use the stand. The swivel mount was critical for me as I wanted to be able to change the angle of the iPad to my needs. The swivel works well - stays in place and has a tension screw. I don't see any potential issues with this design short of abuse. Just be careful about standing it up too horizontal lest the iPad tip off. Gravity works that way too.

Perfect for videos as I can adjust the angle, and achieve the right height as well. Well worth every penny. I'm glad they made this sturdy and durable.
