Who isn't impressed with the life and accomplishments of the great Leonardo Davinci?? This book is filled with his words, which is enough by itself to make the work interesting. His knowledge of so many things was very impressive, especially considering the time he lived. There was so much ignorance in that time, but Leonardo required more evidence than most before he bought into what anyone was "selling". He was much more than a great fine artist, and some of the multi-dimensional talent that he had can be gleaned from the pages in this book. Sometimes tedious, but often compelling and stimulating, it is a book worth reading.

It was interesting for me to realze that nothing is really original about the creative process. I know that beauty cannot be created by people, but merely coppied. As Leo says "painting is the higher art because your hands stay clean, you can wear clean clothes and drink wine with your friends as you create the next last supper.

Sound words of advice for everyone. A little choppy in the formatting, but not going to complain as it was free!

Lacks some information. It could be better, but among the existing works on Leonardo, this is one of the best, if not the best.

Leonardo was a truly unique and awe inspiring individual. Would that I could maintain his perspective on the world, not only glimpse it through his old words.
