The movie is about a very dramatic plane crash., August 1, 1999

This review is from: A Thousand Heroes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
In the movie a plane carrying 296 people blows it's 2nd engine and loses all elevation control while in the air. They have to emergency land at a small airport nearby. All ambulences and firetrucks anywhere in near by cities where all called over to help because everyone knew the landing would be bad. The plane went down and broke into four pieces. Amazingly 189 people were still alive after, including the pilot and the other three men in the cockpit. The movie is very graphic and you see a lot of dead bodies, blood, and explosions. This is not a movie for people with weak stomachs. The movie is very realistic and the actors and actresses played their parts wonerfully. I loved this movie. It is one of my all-time favorites, and I've only seen it once. So, that should show you how big of an impact the movie makes. Everyone should see this movie!

unforgetable, March 22, 2004

i saw this film a long time ago on british television. for years i could not think of the name, but what i could remember was charlton heston starred, along with many other fine actors, and that i had to have the movie. for the last ten or so years i have searched movie books, video shops etc, to see if i could recognise the title, to no avail. then i went onto an actors website, punched in charlton hestons name, and hay presto, there it was. the plot was so unforgetable and i am so pleased i found it, although i have not managed to retrieve a copy of the movie yet. this movie shows that human beings can pull together in times of disaster, and how well firefighters, and medics can do their jobs. how lucky we are

Required viewing, March 6, 2005

This was a required viewing for a class i took at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical College. Very accurate emergency response recreation. If you are into these "Airport" type movies, you'll be on the edge of your seat with this one. I highly recommend it.
