I have been listening to this album over the past few days and I like it lot. It's an album that you can listen to all of the way through. If you are familiar with his previous albums you will notice that this one has a much stronger emphasis on vocals. I like his voice and think that it blends well with his music. The album has a glitch electronic sound with indy sounds and vocals. The music is up beat without being too bright. It can be compared to the Postal Service, but it is more glitchy and obviously does not have Ben Gibbard's distinctive vocal style.

Vast Improvement over the previous work,

I came across Styrofoam by accident when I became of a fan of Death Cab by Cutie. I became an immediate fan with his work. I would describe his music as quirky yet melodic electronica with a touch of shoe gazing. His previous work Nothing's Lost was a great supplement to the Postal Service album. Nothing Lost had numerous guest vocalists and had some tracks that were bit a progressive. less polished and restrained. This album has hooks and melodies that would make for a thousand of the Nothing's lost album. Arne Van Petegem aka Styrofoam also finds the confidence to sing more abundantly across most of the tracks. All tracks are extremely accessible but are certainly more cerebral in structure than the factory churned hits. It's a pity that this album has not gained the success it deserves in the States as it is perhaps one of the most satisfying releases I have come across being a fan of electronica, Shoegazing and rock.
