Even though Alison Newman's college degree is in Medevial Literature, her passion is in the elegance and precision of quilts. She works in the sewing industry and has published many articles and projects dedicated to sewing.

Kaitlin Witte has been interested in sewing and design since she was a child, and followed that interest into college where she studied Fine Art and Costume Design.She began her career working in theater but soon fell in love with textiles and hasn't looked back!

The inside is not bad either. Lots of projects, fun and easy to do and those little fruity bags are just a hoot. I have made a bunch from my scrap bin and all have been added as little gifty extras to friends and family. Small enough to put inside a birthday card with a few dollars in them.

I usually only keep really good sewing books. And to be quiet honest I did not think this one was going to be a keeper but to my surprise it was. I like 4 projects. I will update about the book soon.

The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and there are some very cute projects. This is a great book for a beginner, however if you have any other simple sewing books, most of the projects are nothing new. I loved the fruit pouches on the cover, so it was worth it for me, but I don't know that I'll keep the book after I make a few of them.
