Well, I must say I was impressed. I read the description of this product and thought the price was excellent. 1200 Thread count caught my eye, instantly(as I'm sure they wanted it to.) When this product came in, I was a bit skeptical. The package was very light and small(for the kingsize model I purchased). However....when I unwrapped this comforter and slept under it the first night.... I was in heaven. Ive never owned a Goose Down comforter, but this is very nice and warm. I live in Seattle and we had a week of 20 degree nights this winter. This item did it's job and more. I highly recommended this to anyone thinking of buying this comforter. I would suggest buying a duvet?(hope I spelled it right)

I travel often to a remote area near Antarctica, with little heat and poor insulation. Everything there must be imported and as such is very expensive. When I saw this white goosedown comforter with such a high (1200) thread count of Egyptian cotton content, I was mesmerized. The "sale" price was unbelievable for the product as described. On my last trip to the states I picked one up and brought it with me on my next journey to that cold and rainy environment.

Like other reviewers, I found the package to be both small and lightweight, which was no surprise to me as my extra-large goose down sleeping bag is also quite light and stuffs into a tiny sack. It also helped in transporting my item so far away.

I bought a duvet cover to protect the white cotton outside of the comforter from dust, stains, etc. After spreading it on my bed and climbing under (I got a King size duvet for a Queen sized bed) I found that the goose down wraps itself around the bed and body, hanging down with plenty of extra bedding down the sides and bottom of the bed to keep drafts and cold air from seeping in.

My experience with the product has been beyond expectations. It is warm, comfortable, and helps to cradle the body with a light, comforting layer of heat (reflected from the body and insulated under the duvet).

I would definitely purchase another one and gladly recommend it. If you haven't slept under high quality white goose down, give yourself the favor of this friendly-to-the-budget treat!

Please read before you buy. This product is Nothing like the description! First of all it came in a torn up bag and was 4-lbs to ship (it said 15-lbs). It is a flat as a pancake and no matter how you try to "fluff" it, it won't fluff. Trying to return has been a hassle---no return label, all the numbers and/or sites are either full or wrong!!! Buyer beware on this item!! By the way, the only "slip" that came with it said please contact stores_direct@yahoo.com before you write a negative/Neutral (under 4 stars) review----They are playing with honest reviews---I wish I had one!

As I do with most of my Amazon purchases I try to read all the reviews and then make my own judgement call. I WISH I would have listened to reviewers on this one!! I bought the King/Cal King and it barely fits a Queen bed! There is NO way this item is sized for a King bed. As if that is not bad enough....there is no way this is 1200 thread count. I have 400 count sheets that feel much softer. This is definately a rough cotten feel. I will say on a positive note that it is definately warm and smells like real goose down, even though it has NOT fluffed up yet. I will give it a week. Ugh...all I wanted was big a soft, silky, fluffy comforter...this is NOT it!

I have it for a week now and is still very thin. I was hoping to see some more thickness to it (as it looks pretty luxurious in the photo), but it is still very thin. I cold have bought something like this at Target for under $100. Wish I didn't listen to all the reviews that stated this thing would fluff up.

I've been searching for a while for a great deal on a king size, high thread count, goose down duvet. We have had a full/queen that I received as a gift years ago, but it just doesn't fit on the queen size bed or in the queen duvet cover as I would want it to or expect. I was tempted to be cheap and go with the down alternative since it was close to half the price of the actual down, but I'm glad I didn't. This is so warm and cozy and soft. it did seem fairly thin when I first unpacked it, but I spread it out across the bed and let it be for about 10 hours and then fluffed it a bit, like a parachute. It has fluffed up quite a bit and the feathers seem well distributed within each baffle box. It is still lightweight in the sense that you don't feel weighted down, yet it keeps you very warm. We like it pretty cold in the bedroom (around 60 degrees, even in the winter) and this keeps us extremely warm. As for the size, if you are looking for something to hang over the top surface of your bed and cover at least the sides of the mattress and you have a queen, I would definitely buy the King Size duvet and and King Size duvet cover. Not much difference in price and it is well worth the comfort, especially when it comes to two people. I have searched all of the discount stores (big lots, home goods, tj maxx, marshalls, etc) and online (overstock, amazon, etc) and this is the best deal I have found.

Hopefully, anyone contemplating buying this down comforter will read this review before clicking the "add to cart" button.

For one, the item is *NOT* the size advertised.
The description says 102x86 for a King, however the actual size is 106x90 and is marked as King/Cal King. This probably isn't a huge problem for someone who is buying a down comforter first and then shopping for a duvet cover later, however for someone like myself, who first purchased a duvet cover (102x86 size) and was searching for a down comforter of the same size, this is a big problem.

Another thing that I find odd is that the seller, Egyption Cotton Factory Outlet Store has another listing for the SAME EXACT down comforter but in Cal. King size for a cheaper price. Here's the kicker though, the manufacturer of these comforters(Luxury Linens) sells them as either Full/Queen 90x90 or King/Cal King 106x90, so it doesn't matter if it's a King or a Cal. King, the size is exactly the same, so why does the seller have a seperate listing for a California King size that is 7 dollars cheaper? For those of you who still want to buy this comforter- look at this listing- as it's the same one for a cheaper price.....

Also, the seller, for both listings, has made a mistake in the title and the description. It is advertised in the title as having 700 Fill Power, but the description as well as the packaging info says 750 FP. Supposedly that's better- whether or not you think it's better depends on how warm you want the comforter to be. Out of curiosity, I went ahead and measured mine, and It measured at about 90.5x104. It's a very large item to try to measure yourself so give our take an inch or two, and I also had to stretch the fabric since the down puffs it up, but I was curious to see if the manufacturer's packaging was incorrect, or the seller's description. It's the seller's description of the size that's obviously incorrect.

The photo however I believe is inaccurate- close but inaccurate; as the one I received has a different edging to it- it's gusseted, whereas in the photo it doesn't appear to be. I do believe this is real down (though I'm definitely no expert) because the packaging definitely had an animal smell to it. I suppose that smell could be the new plastic packaging too, so don't take my word on it definitely being 100% Goose down.

My comforter just came out of the package and is still "breathing" after being stuffed tightly in its packaging for however long, so I can't really comment on how full it looks after setting out for a long period of time or how warm it is (or isn't) to sleep with on cold winter nights. I will say though that my first impression after opening it and inspecting how much down was in each box was "that's 750 fill power?" I expected it to have more weight to it or have more feathers.

I haven't decided if I'm going to return it yet or not- that will depend on if I'll have to pay return shipping, etc. I'm definitely going to be contacting the seller though- as it is DEFINITELY not the size advertised and also, the fact that the same seller has another listing for the same one at a cheaper price doesn't really sit well with me either. King or California king- it's the exact same size. Same thing with full/Queen 90x90 inches.

I am so happy we decided on this particular comforter. I have never had a goose down that didn't shed it's feathers and the weave is so tight on this one that there's not even a tiny hint after 2 years of use now. It is the warmest I ever used as well. It's well worth the price, which is actually outstanding consider the exceptional quality. We are very, very happy with this purchase. It has also kept it's shape beautifully.

My fiancé and I are about to be married so I bought a new bed. Naturally I needed a down comforter, so since I buy a lot of products from amazon.com I checked everything and found this product for a great price and since I've had it I absolutely love it. I would recommend it for everybody.

I am very satisfied with this product. I opened this gift before I went to bed and decided to sleep with it that very night. When I put it on my bed it didn't look too fluffy, but for the price I wasn't expecting anything too luxurious. When I woke up the next morning, it was very fluffy! It just needed some time to get to it's fullest after being packaged so tightly. It is very warm! Usually I have about four blankets on my bed (which my Boyfriend hates) but now I only have a sheet and this down comforter. It does the job perfectly! Even my boyfriend said that "It's warm, but I can still breathe." I would strongly suggest getting a duvet cover for this down comforter-it lasts longer this way. You will be very pleased with your purchase if you buy this.
