5.0 out of 5 stars Great Comforter For a Cold Winter
I bought this comforter because of the threat of rising gas prices and cold nights. I received it within a week of ordering and was surprised, and a little disappointed at how light it was. However, after using it, I continue to be amazed at how warm it is! You won't need a second blanket on your bed if you get this comforter. It is really a tremendous value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Warm and comfy
This is a very pretty and warm comforter that I use as a bed spread. The only reason it is getting three stars instead of four is because the stitching is starting to come loose; only had this for two months. I do like, however, the alternative to down. Keeps its shape and ticking. Just hope the threads stay in place!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Value!, July 15, 2006
You know, for this price, you could throw anything away. But, this 'synthetic' comforter is so soft, silky and light, I can toss it on and not feel weighted down. I also have a cat and with cat hairs I can vacumn them off easily (down is more difficult), but just having the airy warmth is worth it.

This is a beautiful comforter. It's well-made. It manages to be light and heavy at the same time. It looks elegant and feels cozy. And it's amazingly priced.

I was happily surprised with the quality of this comforter. It was so inexpensive that I have to say that I was a little concerned.
I am so pleased. It feels wonderful. It is light weight, but very warm. It is generously filled and well made.
You can order this product with confidence. AND there won't be empty (cold) spots. This filling stays put.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent comforter for the price!, March 16, 2006

I had a much more expensive down-filled comforter, but I gave it away. This comforter is just the right weight...I'm not too hot and not too cold, but just right. Also, I have had other comforters that were down-filled and the down moved around and made the bed look lumpy. The down alternative is still very soft, but stays put and is much better for my allergies. I'm very happy with this purchase!

4.0 out of 5 stars Love it., November 7, 2006
I ordered one, tried it, and we liked it so much I ordered another for our RV. It does say to have it "professionally cleaned" but NOT "professionally DRY cleaned." I solved that problem by purchasing 2 inexpensive queen size sheets from Walmart and making a duvet cover by sewing three sides, leaving the bottom open and leaving an opening near the top on each side for adjusting the duvet inside the cover. The sheets do not need to be cut, and by leaving a long bottom (open end) you can tuck it under the mattress. We have never slept so comfortably, and have put away the electric blankets. It's even easier now to make the bed!

Who knew it was so difficult to find a reasonably-priced, non-down, white comforter to stuff a duvet cover? After looking everywhere locally and a few places online, this was the best option. It's a beautiful white comforter on its own, and goes well in a duvet cover. It's really quite warm, so much that I can only use it for nights below 60 degrees. The fill makes it nice and thick, without being heavy. Definitely a good value at $49, and with free shipping, it's hard to beat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Deal, October 28, 2005
It seems to be of no known name brand, but it is so comfy and warm that it doesn't matter. It does shed a little when it is brand new. It was much nicer and better quality than I expected for the price and it makes me want to stay in bed all day. If you want a nice comforter for a great deal don't hesitate.
