A Beautiful Record,

It's not often you find such a beautiful record, a hazy, foggy, fusion of folk and indie rock. Quite possibly an instant classic in my opinion.

This album by Port O'Brien is great. I recommend it highly. To me it is reminiscent somewhat of Tom Petty in that the lead singer kind of intones like Petty and the band seems very aware of the requirements to be a rock and roll band. I saw Port O'Brien live and have been pleasantly surprised to see them release such a good album this two years post concert. Standouts on the album are the single "My will is good" which never gets old, as well as every other track on the album. The whole album is a winner, and the only losers are those who don't own this album!

I only bought this because it was recommended when I bought another download for $5 last month. This is the best $5 I ever spent on music. This album grows on me more and more with each listen. The music is hard to describe although I agree the lead singer sounds a lot like Tom Petty. Great instrumentation and lyrics. Buy this and you won't be disappointed. Standout tracks include "My Will Is Good", "Sour Milk / Salt Water", "Oslo Campfire", and "Calm Me Down".
