This review is from: 243 Blue Threadlocker Oil Resistant/Medium Strength, 6 ml. (37419)
Loctite 243 is a step up from 242,(242 is general purpose and in most stores) however '243' is more formulated for Oil's and higher heat environment, such as engines and for high torque bolts. '243' has higher strength like the 'red' however is not permanent, and application can be removed with correct tools. I needed the '243' for a motorcycle starter clutch hub/ bolt; which wouldnt stay tight.
in my area, You have to order direct from manufacturer, as it is hard to find retail, but I found it for a reasonable price product and shipping. The 'small tube' (which was all i needed) will do -two- up to 3 inch by half inch bolts. it goes on like a resin and after 3 days of anerobic curing it appears to have locked the nut. I suggest user get the data sheet for it on line. its an inexpensive fix if you need to be assured a bolt needs to stay tight. (as in my case the clutch hub bolt does not stay tight with regular torque, so I used a lock washer and the 243 formula.)

I've had it three weeks and nothing has come loose yet. Seems to be doing the job.
