5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, June 28, 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Threads of Fate (Video Game)
I received this game for my 11th birthday and though it's nearly 12 years later, I still love this game. One of the best features of this game is the ability to play each of the characters, the boy, Rue, and the girl, Mint. Though there was a lot of humor to Mint's story, my favorite lies with Rue's story. Each plot line is unique and though they both share some details, there are some parts of the game that can only be played with one of the characters. Thankfully, it's such a great game that playing through it twice with two different characters is definitely no trouble at all. Though there are serious parts to both stories, there are also bits of comedy woven within that really make the characters seem human. I've actually played through this game several times since receiving it as it's really fun and interesting. As a pre-teen and teenager, I loved this game so I would recommend around that age group. Though I love it as an adult, I'm not sure if I would feel the same playing it for the first time as an adult. To me, this is a classic, "fallen through the cracks" game that really deserves a shot but if you're thinking of buying this game, I'd say check out youtube for some previews to see if it's something you'd be interested in playing, just to be sure. :)

4.0 out of 5 stars I wanted to cry..., January 15, 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Threads of Fate (Video Game)
When my original copy of this game was broken during a move 5 years ago, finding it again is nothing short of awesome!!!

The game itself is a RPG Action style game mostly 3D with a 360 degree environment, also as a break from the usual RPG's of the time this game has no random battles!!! All enemies are visible before you have to fight them and only respawn after you leave the area and come back. Other than that the story is a lot of fun and the interaction between the 2 characters Mint and Rue (both are ingredients used in real world cooking) is funny without being crazy!

Beyond that this game is relatively old so the controls and timing for some newer gamers would make things a little strained but stick with it it's well worth it to play it through at least once per character!

I loved this game and still want to add it to my collection again!!!
