Format: Paperback
A good book about people fighting for the right and defending the weak. I like the growth the characters are going through. The friendship of the main characters is well written.

A THREAT TO JUSTICE picks up after the Civil War. Ezra Justice and his elite group, who served as special operations soldiers, have parted company and are back living their pre-war lives. However, when there is a need to combat armed resistances against President Grant and his efforts to reconstruct America, Justice must call the group together and saddle up. Justice's orders from General Sherman were simple; reunite his elite soldiers to covertly fight the Confederacy.

The American West was a wild frontier and dangerous outlaws pursued unscrupulous dreams of fortune. As everyone took the law into their own hands, the President was hard-pressed to get control. The Justice Riders became unsung heroes who ventured West to bring order and justice to the adventure-filled quest of prospectors and South to thwart the vicious acts of the Klan and rebel infantrymen. For every good there must be an opposing evil and the nemesis for the 'Justice Riders' is a different band of soldiers called the 'Death Raiders'. The battle of law and order suddenly becomes deadlier and far more personal.

The name Chuck Norris immediately invokes images of Walker, Texas Ranger policing the Texas plains. With that image in mind as you turn the pages of A THREAT TO JUSTICE, the second Old West novel from Chuck Norris and friends, you should expect to be charmed. This is an action-packed adventure when the country was untamed and uncensored. Mr. Norris and the contributing authors sprinkle elements of faith, romance and excitement throughout the pages.

Format: Hardcover
This is the second book (A Threat to Justice by Chuck Norris, Ken Abraham, Aaron Norris and Tim Grayem) published on the Justice Riders series. The first one introduces the Justice Riders group to readers as they went on their first mission. This novel begins with the group, Captain Ezra Justice, Nathaniel York, Reginald Bonesteel, Harry Whitecloud, Carlos and Roberto Hawkins, discussing their plans now that they have finished their last assignment. Each one has received their back pay and are about to ride their separate ways when Captain Justice receives a telegram from General Sherman requesting the Justice Riders come to Washington as soon as possible.

The six men ride together on their trip to Washington but trouble seems to follow the group on the way to see General Sherman. Once they arrive in Washington they find out that the General wants them to become Federal Marshals and work as group to help restore law and order in our country after the Civil War. I never give away too much when reviewing novels because it spoils it for the reader.

Even though you do not have to read the first book in the series to enjoy this one; however, you can pick up both of the books in this series at a bargain price on Amazon. One final comment. The only complaint I have about this book is the same as I had on the first book. I think there are way too many religious references in both of these books.

Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Co-Author: The Monadnock Defensive Tactics System) (MDTS).
