If you are a Catholic and/or interested
in knowing what Catholic spiritual life is all about, look no further. "The Three Ages of the Interior Life" is a masterpiece of Christian spirituality literature. It is timeless and traditional. A modern exposition for modern man to escape the soul-killing brutality of "modernism". If you have only one book on the subject of Christian spirituality, this very well may be the one to have.

This book is totally amazing. If you liked Fire Within by Fr. Dubay, you'll love this more indepth look at growth in the spiritual life. It's greatest strength over Fire Within is that he includes how spiritual progress looks in the life of an active person living in the world. It is full of useful and practical information for growth in holiness.
