Book Description

January 10, 2008
“This very readable book on modern Ghana is not a dry treatise on the economic, social and political conditions of the country, but a journey of discovery in which one meets the people, wonders at the signs of new affluence in the executive houses and expensive German cars driven by sophisticated housewives, travels with the author and his family to their old hometowns, shares the glee of their extended families in seeing them again, gains a personal and moving perspective into the recent past of the indigenous cultures, the poorer farming folk who in some cases still struggle to survive; it is an account of first-hand experience whereby one understands the author’s concern to help advance the prospects, not only of the disadvantaged members of the family, but of the country as a whole.”—Charles Muller, Diadem Books

More About the Author

AUTHOR BIO

Dr Robert Peprah-Gyamfi was born in Ghana, in a tiny village called Mpintimpi.
He faced many difficulties and challenges, surviving illnesses and horrendous treatments by traditional witch doctors.
In a sense , he is a man not entirely unlike Abram, called by the Lord God to leave the country of birth and find a new land where a promise will be fulfilled
That vision was the guiding light and strength that sustained him through all the hurdles and seemingly hopeless plights until he fulfilled his goal of becoming a doctor.
After qualifying as a Family Doctor Germany in Germany in 2001 Dr Peprah-Gyamfi practised for a while in that country before moving to the UK in February 2006.
Dr Peprah-Gyamfi combines his work as a doctor with the that of writing and evangelism. He is founder of Thank You Jesus Ministry, an Internet, Radio and TV Ministry.
