Very late in his life, Tagore wrote three stories which are entiely different in character and tehnique from his earlier short stories many of which are well-known in English translation. The three stories in this collection, "Sunday", "Last Word" and "Laboratory" have been newly translated and published together in a single volume in English for the first time.
