Three days,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
I think Three Days is a very scary, suspenseful, and a really shocking book. Jackie,an 11-year-old girl from Minnesota, goes on a business trip with her father to Italy. The night after they arrive, Jackie's father collapsed at the wheel of their rental car and eventually dies leaving Jackie all alone in the middle of the highway in a foreign country. She starts to panic, unsure of what to do or what is happening. Jackie figures out a plan. She starts running, screaming, and starts waving her hands for attention or help...but no one can hear her. Two men in a white, old car come to help Jackie, so she thinks. The men and Jackie drive past the hospital and stop at a river to throw all Jackie's identity that she was with her father. Eventually, they end up at the men's home. There was a lady standing outside this creepy old house drying their clothes. Her name is Claudia. Claudia does not think this is a good idea from what she is seeing. But Jackie runs into another problem. They do not speak English and Jackie doesn't speak Italian! The rest of this story revolves around Claudia helping Jackie escpape, or will she escape this nightmare? Read this very suspensful book to find out!!!!

Three Days,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
This book Three Days by Donna Jo Napoli is a breath taker. It shows you how your life could change enormously in 1 second. Three Days is a story but it seems like a true account and as you can tell it is an adventure book. In this book you can never know what is going to happen next. Three Days is a very strong book. There are so many strengths. This is one of the reasons that I recommend Three Days. This story is about an 11 year old girl named Jackie Holt who went to Italy with her father. One night they were driving to their hotel when all the sudden Jackie's dad collapses. I think this is the strongest point in the book. Jackie gets scared. Jackie's dad pulls the car to the side of the highway. The car still going fast bounces over the rough ground. Jackie tries to get cars to stop in every way she can think of. Then two Italian men picked her up but instead of going to the police they took her to their home. She meets a nice woman whose actions comfort Jackie. Donna Jo Napoli did an excellent job on writing this book and I hope to read more books that she has written. I recommend this book because it has no weaknesses and it is a great book. This book is for readers age 9-15. When you read Three Days it is one of those books that gives you a tingle and keeps your interest from beginning to end.

Three Days of Thrilling Suspense,
By Sandra Lewis (Hyden, Kentucky) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
A thrilling story of eleven year old Jackie who is travelling on a business tour of Itally with her father. Her father suddenly has a fatal heart attack and she finds herself stranded on the side of the road, with the realization that her father is dead and she is all alone in a foreign country, with no one to help her. At last a car with two Italian men, a father and son, stop. They take her into their car and leave her father which she doesn't understand. They throw her passport into the river and take her to a house in a remote area of the country. At the house an Italian woman takes care of Jackie. No one at the house speaks English and Jackie doesn't speak Italian. Although desperate and determined to escape Jackie finds herself feeling compassion for her kidnappers. This is a thrilling book that will keep you in suspense until the very end!

Three Days,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
Jackie is very excited when she learns that she is going on a trip to Italy with her father. She can't think of anything more memorable. It turns out to be very memorable; but not for the reason she thinks. When Jackie's father falls dead at the wheel she's not quite sure what to do. While trying to flag down help she manages to get kidnaped in the process. She's in a car with people that she doesn't know and unable to speak in Italian. She is desperate to run away, anywhere to get away from this family. However how can she run away when there's nowhere to run? Three Days is a suspensful adventure with great detail. I recommend this book for children 10-12 years of age. I give this book 3.5 stars out of 5.

Three Days :(,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
Three days was a very detailed book. It made me feel as if I was in Italy with Jakie and her father. At first the 12 year old American Jakie trip was great and then soon after a business meeting with her fathers employees, Jakie and her father are on their way back to there hotel. Then all of the sudden Jakies father collapses behind the wheel of their rented suv.Jakie gets out of the car and is screaming at the cars that go by on the long highway. A car finally stops but not to help her or her dad. If you want to find out what happens to Jakie and her father then read this great supenseful book. I give it 3.5 stars cause I did not like the ending it left you hanging.I would recommend this book to people who like endings that leave you wondering.

THREE DAYS,
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Three Days (Mass Market Paperback)
Three Days is a good book overall. Some of the reasons that I liked Three Days was the setting and the plot. The reason that the setting was so good was that it took place in Italy and in a mysterious cabin. The plot was about a girl and her father going on vacation to Italy. But when things go terribly wrong and her father goes unconcious, two men take her to a mysterious cabin. She also meets another girl there who could have been taken like her or has been living there all her life. But to find out the rest of the story you will have to read the book. Some of the stuff that I did not like were the slow parts like the entire car ride to the cabin. I would definitely recomend this book to anyone who likes mysterious and suspenseful books.
